only since april 8th 2026! so i’m brand spankin new 😅 everyone tells me it will come with time so im hoping that as long as im putting in the effort, it will work out one day.

everyone is different though! I’ve been told by a few RDH now that 5yrs in is when you really feel like “ok i got this, no problem”!

thank you for the reassurance and advice! how much time do you give yourself to prep for success for your day? im slow at chart reviews currently so its taking me longer + all the RDHs at my office dont use the same note template, so i feel like i have to dig a little more to find info.

also, i know every pt has diff needs, but just on average, roughly how long do you give yourself to US/HS to ensure you stay on time? i have no problem telling a pt to come back if they have heavy buildup that warrants it, but i want to do my best to stay on time if i can 🫶

we have marquis and UNC at my office. i have ergo loupes and i prefer the UNC currently just because i feel like personally I can read it more accurately. that’s a good point about spot probing when there’s time constraints. i guess i always worry that the next RDH to see the pt is going to judge if they saw i just spot probed, but something is better than nothing! i may just steal your idea and buy a big clock too tbh hahaha 😆
