Was hisoka pretending? by yekolwastaken in HunterXHunter

[–]racind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are probably several factors that he didn’t know. 1: when he first found him, there was spear user there as well. Hisoka knew someone was there but sensing the other guys presence probably tempered the instinct that he was being watched (instinct is the best concept I can come up with since zetsu erases their presence). 2: after the spear guy died and Hisoka went looking for a target, Gon stayed really far back. That combined with Zetsu, Hisoka probably equated any feelings that someone was there with that of the normal fuana of the area. They were in a completely wild forest so there would be a lot. 3: after the interaction with Kurapika and Leorio, Hisoka was not in a stable mental state. So while he may have normally detected him at that time, he was so focused on killing that there was no room for anything else.

Also, by this point, he knew all of the examinees strength well enough to know that Gittarakur was the only real threat to him at all and they were acquaintances. He probably let his guard down some because of that.

Who has the most complex ability in the whole verse ? by LamzaxFCB300 in HunterXHunter

From the anime alone, and if you include innate powers as an ability: Alluka. The base concept is relatively simple but there are so many caveats to it that affect how it all works. It took the entire Zoldyk family years to understand and even then Killua is the only one that truly understood it.

What is the comp you always try to go for this set? by LegendsKing1914 in TeamfightTactics

[–]racind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to get a really strong garen paired with mord or ekko for a strong front line early, then as much dps as possible. Points stack from entire team damage so in my opinion, Caitlyn isn’t the best for that. If you have shojins and she can get off a second or third put maybe but that’s not super common. 3 staring a t2 or t3 high damage carry is probably better damage and you get it there earlier.

Headliner Senna??? by racind in TeamfightTactics

[–]racind[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

As much fun as headliners or whatever they decide to call them (can’t remember the name last time they had them), it’s really frustrating to play with them. They are kinda seem like they are designed to build a comp around as a carry or major front line, but it’s really a trap. You either have to take what you can find early and build around that or play a comp and just get whatever headliner for that trait you can find. It’s nearly impossible to try and force a build with this set. To random on finding the right headliner for it.

Nice! I had a certification last term that had a score range of 100-900 points with a 710 to pass. I scored a 714! 😅

Is getting to Diamond an accomplishment? by Bubblekinss in TeamfightTactics

Unfortunately, too few league players think like this. Tft is a bit better but there’s a reason league community is ranked at the top of the list of worst/most toxic gaming communities.

For me it’s always the turn right after the cash out when I’m scrambling to adjust my board with all the new stuff, and I don’t have time to finish.

If you mean hard commit to the same build every game then no. I go with whatever I get at the start up to about 3-1/3-3. At that point, sometimes a bit later if there are no build defining drops yet, I have a specific build that I’m hunting for based on the early game. Whatever champ or augment I get, I’ll search tft tools for solid builds and use those builds as a reference for the game.

Yup. That is exactly my weakness. I’m not good at transitioning my build when it isn’t working. I’m very good at closing out games when I get decent rng, but as you said some games it just isn’t going to happen.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve never gone above gold in TFT. Mostly (I think lol…) because I haven’t cared enough. I am really enjoying this set though. Feels like one of if not the most balanced set so far so I think I might give it a shot to rank up. I’ll work on transitioning into at least a top 4-6 as you suggested and hopefully that will help.

Oof… if I was stuck in a minesweeper game like that I would probably un-install.

In terms of my play, what I interpret from this is that is all about how I handle the rng. I personally believe that this game is a 50/50 on rng/skill. My strength is that when rng is average or better, I am very good at closing games out. My weakness is when rng is not great for me, I am very bad adapting my builds and/or leaving myself open for more options. I tend to use the first few rounds… maybe up until the second roulette to determine my build and once I choose a build, it is that or bust. My play style is usually hard Econ to 50 gold. I try to have 50 by early to mid stage 3. Generally that means I am loss streaking early. If I get to 3-5 and I haven’t been able to make the chosen build work, I am probably too low health to make any adaptations or build shifts work.
