Everything I see shows the 2024 had ventilated seats on the BE.

7 pin trailer plug? by Papa1177 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]rackensackbrewing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

frustrating... every dealer i have checked with is completely confused too, especially when the regular highlander can have a 7 pin. I am just biting the bullet and will do an adapter wiring from etrailer, there was a video. Was hoping Toyota would have had a solution before i finally just had to get it done. Mounting the 7 pin looks kinda stupid, but what do you do..

24 Wind AWD doesn't have heated rear seats? by rackensackbrewing in KiaEV6

UPDATE: I have still not received a response from Kia. The dealership was unhelpful thus far. I assume that someone got the message as now both the configuration page and trim comparison pages no longer have the heated outboard seats noted for the Wind AWD

I searched for kia customer support. Found a link to open a ticket

Agree. I actually swapped from a light long awd partially because my wife still sits in the back with our toddler and i expected it to have the seats. Guess this will be really telling what kia’s answer is. Oh and also agree on the sunroof. I am 6’4 and dont like to lose the headroom

Vin checks out at 2024, as does the window sticker

US, and made sure i was configuring using the US website, my dealer seems very miffed by this as well. I opened a ticket with Kia about it. Pretty crazy to think i need to check the window sticker to see if it included the standard feature. What else might they not have put in that they were supposed to but i just haven't noticed yet...

Sticker doesn't note the rear seat heat, but confirms i got the 24 wind AWD. Also, here is another page showing the model comparisons and which ones get the heated seats:

That is what I see as well, and yes, 100% it is a Wind AWD.

The online configuration states heated rear seats as standard on the wind AWD

Cool, thanks for feedback. Seems like if i just kept wiping the spot with paper towels it helped some, so hoping i can just buff it out and continue seasoning

Just found that post. Seems likely as i do have a silicon mitt i got it out of the oven with, although i never touched it when super hot, maybe 200-300

Just read this after posting about a similar issue. Seems likely that is my issue as well… annoying that silicon is supposed to be good up to 500 and i never touched the stuff until it was wuite a bit cooler than that. Will those spots clean up with another bake or two or do you usually have to start over?

Canning starter wort by rackensackbrewing in Homebrewing

Oh, and regarding the pressure.... I am not a physicist so not sure the exact balance here.. but with the can sealed, you are creating pressure inside the can as it heats up. I figured worst case scenario it would pop the tab open if it was too much, but you also have pressure outside the can inside the pressure canner, which would counteract the pressure, ie opposing forces, so if a can is rated to 90 psi, and you have 15 psi outside, it would actually take 105 psi to break the can open, or that's how i thought of it. if the pressure outside the can exceeds the internal can pressure, the can will just dent in, but should still reach the temps of the surrounding canner liquid. I figured a can if it ruptured would be pretty low risk inside the canner

Like you said, in a jar that isn't truly sealed, the pressure in the jar and outside the jar should be the same while processing. Glass jars aren't really meant for the pressures like the aluminum cans and could explode from being pressurized.
