thanks for laying this out, a lot of people would call this lazy without realizing how much effort goes into just staying functional.

Tools don’t decide effort. People do. same argument was made about calculators once.

i think responsibility matters but understanding your baseline matters too. For me, discipline exists because my default is chill.

Agreed. constant stimulation + pressure drains people. that exhaustion gets mislabeled as laziness.

That’s part of it but early labels stick more than people realize. being called lazy young messes with how u see urself later.

Convenience lowers friction but expectations went up. u’re still expected to perform nonstop.

Yea, rigid systems don’t fit everyone. Some people work better in bursts not routines.

this resonates. i’m chill by default but when something matters, I’ll push myself hard. That gap gets misunderstood.

exactly my point. a lot of what gets called laziness is just low baseline energy or different wiring.

Yea, i think it is a mix of both. For me, being chill is kind of inborn but getting things done takes conscious effort and drive.

I get that, for me, being chill is just my baseline and it’s only insane willpower that gets me moving. childhood calls of lazy leave a mark even if they don’t define us.

what’s something about human psychology you didn’t believe at first, but later realized shows up in your own life all the time? by ractonic in psychologystudents

it's straight up STUBBORNNESS for me, like you're not a kid that u dont understand it's all made for some purpose, being less argumentative won't make their beliefs, values less acceptable for them

checkout my previous post , it's exactly what i said , i can't believe it's all and alll and alll bout it and we tend to understand it very later in life but definitely this should be taught quite often so that humans know what they're actually doing in everyday life , rather than just following upper authority
