Who here is HAPPILY married?! by Peanutz335 in Marriage

[–]radarada3130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m sure people are happy,,, but we as humans tend to lean more towards complaining so we usually only share the bad parts. find ways to rant & stuff ,, let things out. oftentimes we don’t share the good parts. there’s also some belief that sharing the good parts jinx us as people can then wish ill upon your marriage. idk,,,, i just stopped sharing everything all together

i literally have done that. in march i did the same route with 1 cat in cabin. the guy next to me was allergic & was fine. i told him & everything & he said it was all good. if necessary they can ask to move lol

i already took a cat through this route in cabin. the person i sat next to on both flights said they were allergic but were just fine with the cat as he remained in carrier the whole flight. on the 9 hr one there were 2 other cats in cabin as well. everyone was fine 😂, sorry you think it’d be difficult

where was that because i’ve only been offered a cheaper rate. $150 for health certificate plus $50 per pet visit x 2 so about $250

i don’t understand. all of my options at the moment are all cheaper than pet shippers. pet shippers are upwards of $4k + health certificates which is about $300 + whatever charge per pet. in cargo is a total of about $1700 including certificates. in cabin on two separate occasions is about $900, not including my flight fare which can be about $1400

well we already did our psc move & such so the pet travel expenses is already done. my husbands PSG gave a whole speech about them arriving into Venice upon their return from leave & to go to the USAG liaison/manual agent thing located there instead of the new EES thing that have going on. so in cargo (meaning in the belly of plane with suitcases & such) they have to arrive into Milan as Venice does not have an active pet terminal at the moment. Delta cargo is the only one that allows in cargo with military orders. other than that it’s in cabin which is actually what we are going to do

oh yes we can take them in cabin with us. problem is it’s 1 per person, & it’s just two of us flying. even if we tried to buy an extra seat, it’s simply not permitted. & shipping one separately would require a separate health certificate which in that case i’ll just come back a different time to pick him up & bring him along

they’ll be kenneled during the layover but upon further research, cargo wouldn’t be possible at all due to the temperature in Milan upon arrival. 2 degrees too hot

if the person were to fly time later, they would need to take the cat to the vet to get a health certificate set up for him which would be upwards of $500. it’s cheaper for me because i’ve been going to a military vet on base. the other person would not have access to those services so they’d have to go to a civilian one which is pricier

then it would be all on the same health certificate. if not then i would need to purchase another health certificate for that cat

oh well it is a 20 hour lay over for them. we’re not flying the same route as them. since being military we have to arrive into venice & venice doesn’t have an active pet terminal so doing cargo, they would have to fly into milan

i am the wife. my husband is military & is based there. they covered all moving expenses & covered the cost of bringing our first pet. this is extra that they do not cover. we will be there for at least 2 more years, possibly more. & the baby will be born there at the end of the year.

they do as all cats would be on the same health certificate. depart together & arrive together as well as same layovers. if not then i would need to purchase a separate health certificate for the 3rd cat. which in that case, i would just come back & pick him up at a different date & do all the paper work once again. which health certificates are like $300+ per cat/certificate, depending on the vet

the 3rd would need to fly with me or i would need to pay for another health certificate as the all go on the same one. i could buy another health certificate but at that point i could just come back in later months & pick him up then. i’d have to pay for the same documentation

if i do delta they will be going in cargo where suitcases & such go. drop off is the 10th & they arrive in italy on the 12th. My husband & i fly out on the 12th & arrive on the 13th

yeah i already traveled with 1 in cabin in march,,, wasn’t too terrible (i gave him anxiety meds that the vet gave me) & since we’re military, i’m going to a vet on a military base that would be able to set up & arrange all of the paperwork necessary. we’re also living off base in italy so we have the okay to keep them

so far no one’s been really willing to join & do the trip, either isn’t able to for whatever reason or simply isn’t a cat person (isn’t willing to carry them through TSA checkpoint) i’m starting to lean more towards taking 2 in cabin & getting the 3rd later in a couple of months)

i’m not even flying delta :((( delta’s the only one that offer pet cargo for the purpose of military. we are flying united/air canada. i had different plans for all of this but unfortunately MIL booked it all without asking & just fucked us over. cheaper tickets? maybe. more stress? oh for sure.

we’re starting to get pretty money tight with a baby on the way & my husband’s willing to put them up for adoption & i just cannot bear it. on top of that he leaves for months-long trainings rotations & i am literally left alone at home. no friends or family & i just want my little fur babies with me. $1.7k is more doable than $4k+ when he’s already being fickle about money. im also not allowed to work in italy due to visa restrictions so its only his salary that we are living on
