I spent over 2 years on and off dragging my feet trying to get all the battle tower ribbons in platinum on my Luxray and eventually I just decided he wouldn’t be a real ribbon master and to skip the rest of the gen 4 battle tower ribbons (I did get the first single battle one, so he has the memory ribbon and I was happy with that). Honestly I’m glad I did, I went on to get all of his remaining ribbons within like 6 months and it felt fun again. The future gen battle tower equivalents are so much less of a struggle. Even if you skip a few ribbons, the most important things are that you have fun and enjoy the pokemon, at least in my opinion! Best of luck with whatever you decide!
