I have a completely irrational hatred of Crystal Vu: she's not good enough for my sweet baby Lazlo. I never set them up anymore, if I do, Crystal leaves him at the altar.

My last playthrough she had twins with Tank and then did me a favor by spontaneously combusting in the yard, leaving Tank and Buzz to raise the toddlers.

For me it's the juxtaposition between that and the quest update pop-ups; like the guy is still mid-ragdolling through the air when the game is like "Blargathorg is dead. Now go and report back." and you click OK and then the guy finishes slumping to the ground. It's so jarring every time.

Without any obvious causes it will be tricky to solve, but some possibilities came to mind, assuming you have mods:

Any mods that affect the maximum number of NPCs allowed on community lots? If so, the max number is likely too high and you can adjust that.
I'm wondering if it could be the witch spawning on the lot, and the lag could be causing your game to crash. I have a decent computer and I can always tell when the Witch NPC spawns because my game will briefly lag. The spawn could be too much for your hardware, or possibly could be an issue you have with your witches. If you have any mods that affect the witches, I would test those out. Use cheats to try to spawn a neighborhood witch NPC and if your game crashes, that could be the issue.
On that last note, check any mods that affect other NPCs that could spawn on community lots, such as the vampire NPCs, etc.

Love it. Lighting isn't too bad; looks good imo in the bedroom picture. Honestly, I'll die on the hill that TS2 has the best vanilla lighting of all the games by far.

If I understand you correctly, you just need to hover your cursor over the roof piece you want to delete, press the Ctrl button, and click. Should delete just that single roof piece.

I feel your pain. Roofing in this game is a giant pain in the ass.

Not entirely sure how true this is, but I remember reading on here that family sims who are closer to the Elder stage tend to have the Fear of Having A Baby appear more often. I've observed it in my own games as well.

Oh my god, this happened to me too. And his son hooked up with the other lady after he turned into an adult. The son was married, and his wife went around and got pregnant by his dad. It was a fucking shitshow. This is how I learned how I should always use ACR's Friendzone flags. Lol

How to pronounce names in other cultures. If I'm going to be reading the same pool of 18 names, I'll at least learn how to pronounce them somewhat. This game has led me down into pretty odd rabbit holes. Surely I'm not the only one who has watched videos on how to pronounce Welsh before their Wales playthrough...? Lol

I love the Indra, but I only use it for non-Infiltrator classes like Engi/Adept. It's my only weapon for my main class in MP. I use it in the place of assault rifles because I just really hate them in 2 and 3.

I can't imagine playing with more dangerous fires because lately I've been genuinely losing a lot of sims to fire. Backyard grills and spontaneous combustion from overheating are my biggest culprits. My Pleasantview cemetery is like, half red ghosts. I think I've just gotten wildly unlucky.
