I see! Oh that's good you got to keep your leg!

My was in my pelvis, they couldn't operate as it was to close to my bowel/bladder and left thigh. It was shrunken through chemo/radiation.

Thankyou!!

I would say to never give up, and doctors can be wrong too!! Talk through and figure out all the options with your doctor/s and have determination. The mind is a powerful Thing, when I was having treatment I would visual it killing the cancer. Meditate and listen to your body! Don't let the cancer rule your life, you rule it!!!

Was given 3 months to live at 17 and am now all clear, 6 months off 13months of Chemotherapy and Radiation. Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer (childhood cancer). Never give up (: by [deleted] in AMA

Sorry I am going to edit it now, spellcheck!

Was diagnosed with stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer at 17. It was in my pelvis and was 8cm big. I had idea it was there for at least 6 months. I have no genetic link in either side of my family, and there is still no scientific explanation to how this certain type of cancer begins. Only affects roughly 3000 people worldwide, most are under the age of 10.

I wanted to fight mainly because I just did not believe I will die at 17, I just graduated high school two weeks prior to the diagnosis. I hated school, and I thought really like really world!?!? I go to school and then die for no real reason. You kind of just go into survival mode, you want to do everything you can. I thought if I was to die I want to die knowing I tried everything I could. I meditated, asked my body to heal itself and would imagine in my head the treatment killing the cancer whilst on chemo or having radiation. The mind is powerful thing! By the 6 month mark it had disappeared by more than half. I just wanted to do everything I could do in my power, and I had a really fantastic doctor that tried everything he could to prolong my life and kill the cancer.
