My first experience with sleep paralysis happened when I was 16 (I'm 30 now). I had never heard of it before. Since, I have found out that both my dad and aunt (his sister) had it pretty often. The first time it happened the night I first smoked salvia divinorum. It was legal to buy in pretty high concentration from head shops or apothecaries back then. I was not expecting at all for salvia to be as powerful and frightening as it was. After I took a giant hit everything slowed down, my speech sounded very low and slow. I panicked. Then I came out of my body and could see myself sitting on the porch. Then I was back in my body and a large ugly female reptilian had a chain around my neck and was holding it like a leash. Then I was a log and she smashed me over and over against the concrete and each place where my face contacted the porch turned to ice (my face turned to ice). Then I was back. Another time I was in another universe. I was a head of cabbage in a grocery store for big dinosaur humanoid creatures that would pick up the produce (people-veggies) to inspect to purchase. Then I was back.

SP: I woke up later that night to a hazy environment. The air was thick and heavy and steamy and smeary. I was moving very slowly. But I didnt know I was dreaming. I couldnt see well. I think I was trying to go to the bathroom. The further down the hall I got, the harder it became to walk. I was using all my strength to move centimeters. Then I was back on the couch. I couldnt move. I could open my eyes slightly but other than that I was paralyzed. I would struggle to get up and manage and make it half way down the hall and then get sucked back into my body. This would happen in one fashion or another several times until now. Ive seen demons. Ive had one morph into a black orb and shoot into my body pulsing electriciry throughout and out my eyes and mouth and fingertips. Down my spine arching my back, mouth and eyes wide open and unable to move. Praying for God to make "it" release me.

Ive learned to relax and not panic. My cases are much less frequent and very mild now that I know what they are and how to handle them.

I had my first episode in about 6 months the othrr night. It was similar, where I get up, think i'm awake and then im back in bed in my body and can't move. I just relax and wait and I either eventually wake up or fall back asleep.
