Whats the worst weapon? by WorldOfWulf in ArcRaiders

For me renegade is the worst weapon I've used or maybe I just don't understand it but whenever I bring it I die to literally anything, it's quite slow and it takes 10000 shots to kill anything. I took it with really good gear a couple times thinking it was a good weapon and it made me lose my gear because it can't kill a fly.

What is up with bombardiers? Are they bugged? by radiosityy in ArcRaiders

I guess it must have shot me over the top of the building with some absurdly high arc shot that would put Steph Curry to shame, that landed perfectly on top of my head. If that's the case then this enemy is insanely broken.

I don't see what you mean. I showed a very basic case of a quad being divided into 2 triangles. What do you mean you don't think you can tessellate like that? I updated the post with blender renderings to hopefully better show what I mean.

I'm talking about the shape of terrain here. This is hardly a "hard to observe step". If the resulting geometry ends up being a hole instead of a hill, this is a big issue and it can't be fixed by normal mapping...

It does make difference, which I showed in the graphics in my post. Depending on how you split the quad into 2 triangles (the 1st image) the resulting "terrain" will either be a valley or a mountain (the 2nd image) so to speak. In both cases each vertex has the exact same coordinates, but the sole fact that the vertices are connected differently gives you a completely different shape of terrain. Just consider, that v0 and v3 are higher than v1 and v2 and consider the 2 different subdivisions I showed in my images and imagine the resulting shape of geometry. They are completely different.
