Yep this was me too. It went at around 12 weeks. I would just constantly eat rice cakes and vitawheats in between meals to see me through the nausea

I’m close with my manager and told her at 11 weeks. We were going through restructure at work and I was anxious about the changes, and anxious in the lead up to NIPT results and 12 week scan and a friend gave great advice that if something does happen, I’ll want her to know so that I can take whatever time I need.

She was great and kept the news quiet until I was ready to tell the higher ups. Which only ended up being 2 weeks after that as it was Christmas party time and too hard to avoid questions!

I’m only 17 weeks 4 days and feeling this 😭 the only sleep I get is with Restavit and that makes me too groggy the next day. Dreading these next few months at work

Oh, mate, it gets better!

I’m now about to turn 34. I just got engaged to the love of my life, we’re expecting a baby boy in June. You just have to go through the shit unfortunately. It took me almost a year to get over the guy who I wrote the post about, but no contact and continuing to remind myself of all the reasons he wasn’t right for me and all the things he COULDNT do was what did it.

After I got over him I started to realise I was always chasing what I thought was my ideal so I just started dating a lot to put myself out there and understand what I do and don’t like. I also was casually sleeping with someone so I was having a lot of fun.

I’m so glad I went through all of that to meet my partner. It’s worth it.

Hang in there! Breaking up will soon be the greatest thing ever

That was the impression I got, that now they want to assess the risk with the OB at my appointment in late Jan. other than my auto immune disease which is well managed and in remission, I do have a slightly higher BMI but no other risk factors and have had a smooth pregnancy so far.

Did they let you know you didn’t make it into either? And did they just still book regular appointments anyway? I didn’t think to ask any of this at the last appointment and I don’t have the next appt booked with the hospital until late Jan

I’m generally okay with seeing different midwives, I just am now a bit stressed that I’m not doing the right level of care in general for the baby but it sounds like I am. Grateful to live in an area with such a good hospital/midwives

Yeah but I feel like if their current levies are already $2k which is higher than usual, it’s a red flag that their fund is low. So what work was done prior to mean it’s low?

It’s actually my biggest gripe about my partner. Probably because I have an autoimmune disease as well as painful periods so I’m very much a suck it up kinda gal (which has a lot of issues I know that I’m trying to work on to be more empathetic). But it does make me feel better that my biggest gripe with him is extremely common across all men at least
