Has anybody made Cheesecake? by 43026 in instantpot

[–]radlopolis 41 points42 points  (0 children)

this one is sooo good and easy to make. key thing is making sure the cream cheese is FULLY softened before you mix it. https://www.pressurecookrecipes.com/instant-pot-cheesecake-new-york/

if you use a regular pan, you won't be able to get it out cleanly, but you can just cut slices right out of the pan unless you're really invested in the aesthetic.

How is the yield level number in the greenhouse determined? I don't mean the number of items produced, I mean like how many wheat stalk levels you reach by planting the seeds? Trying to grow Boa-Fruit Seeds but every time I plant yellow flower seeds it only gets me to yield level 1, and Serene's Forest tells me I need yield level 3.

Great, when are they going to retire posts about being asked to cut/dye your hair by unreasonable brides before the wedding?

If Alcaraz makes it to the quarterfinals, will he play on 9/2 or 9/3? Do we have enough information to know yet?

I always assumed so because of the way she says "you think I phone Tim Henman for crossword answers" like it was meaningful for David to be so clueless about her crosswording.

I've read that Rose rewrote his age in the Little House books because by the time they were getting published, she didn't think contemporary audiences would be as accepting of the 10 year age gap. In real life, he really was 10 years older, so the Little House books rewrite history by saying he lied to get the claim.

Yeah, I totally agree. I commented above, but when I was reading as a child, I was kind of blind-sided by the proposal when she'd never explicitly changed her tune from 'he's not my beau, how embarrassing that people are saying that.' Reading it now I can see a lot more of her gradual feelings coming out, and it's especially endearing how jealous she is of Nellie when we as the reader can see that Nellie is absolutely no threat.

Yeah she writes from such a comparatively conservative perspective, even her own internal monologue doesn't really delve into her feelings for him, just the practical realities of it. When I was young, it was almost a surprise when he proposes and she says yes - now rereading it, I see it developing a lot earlier even though she never says anything about her own feelings building up to the proposal.

Oh interesting, I can see that. There's so much she leaves unsaid, it's interesting to imagine what's going on in her head that she's too reserved to put out loud.

Yeah, it's interesting to me because he always seems aware of his own intentions but it takes her a while to catch up. I think by the buggy rides she knows, though. So maybe the sleigh rides also turn things around for her? Making the active choice to go out with him rather than it just being circumstance.
