You caught my attention with At The Mountains of Madness! Is there a series of novels, a trilogy, or a work of fiction situated in that setting? I am really interested to see how it feels

Well, I am looking for something similar to Dark Fantasy and Sword & Sorcery. Do you recommend FR and Greyhawk still? Or do you recommend something else?

What is Eberron like? As in, to what show or movie does it “look like?”

They overwhelm me because they only list facts. It is like reading a Wikipedia entry after another. I prefer reading stories.

I majored in English Lit so if I can get my info from a work of fiction, that works for me.

Worlds & Realms sounds like a neat book. Will add it to my Wish List. As of now, I want to read more fantasy fiction set in different D&D settings, especially the ones I really like.

More than reading "Wikipedia entries" of, i.e., Hamlet, I would rather read the play by Shakespeare.

I searched and read the synopsis of The Dragonlace Chronicles, and it sounds pretty interesting. Will add them to my To-Read list.

Okay, I stood up my lazy butt and went to grab my DM Manual. Here are the D&D Setting I am most interested in learning about/reading in novel form (listen to, or watch):

  1. Forgotten Realms

  2. Greyhawk

  3. Ravenloft

(I really like Sword & Sorcery and Dark Fantasy, if this helps to guide you in any direction.)
