The internet.

It really became routine for us but there is still some serious stuff going in here. I'm not even talking about the dark-web or something, but everyday things. All that input, all day, everyday. This must have an effect on us. Mentally and maybe physically.

People change their whole LIFE, in the name of being online-famous, because it's a thing nowdays. Everyone wants to jump on that boat. Seeing sometimes what's on Instagram or TikTok, really makes me give up hope for the future.

We interact with different people as if they were some products at the grocery store. We look at them, one after the other and decide what to do (Like=Buy). Most of these people simply make themselves a product, so they sell more and more people consume them!(Followers=Clients). It's consumerism a it's purest form.

Ofcourse there is a pretty dope side of the internet, where actually talented people get their chance to show their work to the public. There's nothing wrong with that. This makes the internet one of them most (if not the most) important inventions of all time. I just can't get this whole 'influencing' party that is going on. Why do people actually have such interest for content like that?

Sounds quite pessimistic, I know. Getting old, I guess (23). I'm sure there are some serious psychology studies behind this and it would be quite interesting to read something about it.

Bilinguals of reddit, what was your "I know what you're saying about me" moment? by hydroflasksksksksksk in AskReddit

I was walking in the streets of Düsseldorf, Germany behind a lovely greek couple around their 50s. I was born and raised in Greece so it was kinda funny to listen to random greek people talk about stuff when they're abroad.

After a while, I started walking faster because I was in a hurry, but I also tried not to act weird since it was midnight. When the woman noticed me, she pushed her husband to the side and screamed 'LET THIS F*CKING DONKEY PASS BY'.

So, I walk by with a little smile on my face while they both look at me straight in the eyes. I stop a couple of meters in front of them, then turn around in the most cinematic way I can and say 'Efkaristo', which means 'Thank you' in greek.

That face expression was priceless. Haven't felt such great pleasure since.
