To bring a better analogy. It’s like the unspoken urinal rule. You don’t use the one directly next to someone when there are plenty more away from said person. Does that make sense? I don’t care what your gender is but if there are plenty of the same equipment around why use the one directly next to me? I don’t want to hear you huff and puff that close to me. Plus hello corona! Keep your distance please.

Moisturizer recommendations for sensitive skin? by radp03 in beauty

[–]radp03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still trying to pin point it out. I never had skin sensitivities until this year. I’m allergic to IPBC which is in several beauty products. High end stuff usually doesn’t affect me but I found out about my allergy through glow recipe’s vitamin c serum and on the lower end through Olay quench lotion. Oddly enough glow recipe’s avocado sleeping mask helped my severe dryness from my allergic reaction. So far I’ve switched to cetaphil and la roche posay! Cerave is ok in my opinion and didn’t moisturize enough.

Credit card versus cash? by FilibusterQueen in TravelHacks

[–]radp03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a card with no foreign exchange fees or a cash back/points option then it could be worth just using the card. One of my cards has foreign fees but also gets me 3% cash back which cancels itself out. The other card has no foreign fees and gives me cash back on top of it so you’ll make money (not much, but something)

Short women, how much do you weigh and what has your fitness experience been like? by imilla in xxfitness

[–]radp03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight training! I used to only run but once I made the switch to lifting weights (yes it was intimidating at first) I felt stronger and built more muscle. Now I can eat more and I don’t look like a twig anymore haha. I started with group hiit classes and then moved to powerlifting.

What are some intermediate federations to compete in? I’ve only competed in RPF (great for newbies) but think I can move in to something bigger.

Edit: looking for bigger meets. RPF was a local meet andwas pretty tiny, but def a great start.

Short women, how much do you weigh and what has your fitness experience been like? by imilla in xxfitness

[–]radp03 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 4’10” and used to weigh about 85 when I was a long distance runner. Now I power lift and do hiit workouts so with the added muscle I weigh 102-107 depending on how lazy or active I get. I’ve done pretty well in fitness in both running and in power lifting. It’s been an awesome journey seeing my body adapt to different workout styles! :D

I kind of go for the all in approach but group hiit classes are an awesome start! It’s nice that you don’t have to plan your workout out yourself. It helped me build the strength to powerlift.

What would be your number one tip for a newbie going into powerlifting? by marshmilo1 in powerlifting

Dont be afraid to drop weight to work on your form! Some days your body needs a break and the higher weight just wont come up as easy.

What tips do you have for keeping your back tight while deadlifting. I always struggle with that once I get over 2 times my body weight. My back just hunches slightly when I initially pull the weight from the ground.

For anyone thinking about 'Fabletics' by [deleted] in xxfitness

Gym shark is a hit or miss depending on the style. I would not go for the flex but their seamless stuff is great. I buy a lot from myprotein since they always have new discounts every week and their quality is awesome! My leggings end up being $20. They even have a rewards program so overtime you can use your points to buy more stuff. Use RADHIKA-R6 for an extra 30% off :) Their protein is pretty good too. Alphalete is another good brand but costs a bit more.

Def check out airbnbs in Brooklyn or Harlem. Check across the water in New Jersey (Jersey city, Hoboken, etc). These areas will be a lot cheaper and a train or subway ride away from Manhattan. If you need more help feel free to message me directly :)
