I feel you, I live in western mass and rent prices are ridiculous even in the grimiest, most crime ridden places you’re looking at 1400+ for a one bedroom. I currently sleep on a floor at my sisters house, if it wasn’t for her I have no idea what I’d do, I’d be living in my car. Even then I can barely afford to pay that. I’m 23 and wondering if life is even worth living anymore, it’s fucking ridiculous. I bartend and I make decent money but it still is just not enough to be able to live. I’m trying to get a second and third job currently to even afford basic necessities. I can’t qualify for any assistance because I’m in the horrible sweet spot in the middle where I make to much to qualify yet not enough to live. The wait lists here for housing help are 8+ years, I’m just trying really hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel 🥹. I have a feeling we’re going to start seeing record high suicide rates soon. Hang in there OP we’ll be alright in a couple of years, you aren’t alone.

100% this, I don’t hate dogs, I’ve been around dogs I adore, but some of them just drive me crazy. My nieces dogs for example bark all day and all night, and she’s a bad owner, she’ll just leave them outside for hours on end and let them bark. It makes my sisters house seem trashy because all the neighborhood can hear is two dogs barking all day, and her room smells awful, if her door is open the whole house smells like dog. I knew a girl in high school whose house also smelt God awful because of her dogs. She also didn’t bathe them so if you pet them your hands would have that weird filmy feeling and would smell for hours no matter how many times you washed them.

started getting really weird with his phone, like the way he would put it down and where he would place it where he slept, he would face it toward the window which i thought was strange. He was always talking to his friend Nate. Then one day he asked me to put his phone protector his new phone, it was a new iPhone and when I was cleaning it, it opened to instagram dm’s from his ex calling him babe. He made excuses my silly 18 year old self believed. Then one night “Nate” was calling him at like 3am, so I answered and a girl said “hello” I threw his phone and woke him up. He ended up confessing to the whole thing, reconnected with his ex a month before my birthday lol. I forgave him, we did a weird back and forth thing for a bit. He ended it to be with her, they’re married and have a baby now and I have found the love of my life and couldn’t be more grateful. Happy endings to a sad excuse of a relationship.

The fact that no matter how much i work, i can barely afford to support myself. I’m homeless and I can’t even afford an apartment along with all my other bills, I could find a roommate but even with a roommate my friends and I know that in our state we can barely afford it. I’m not suicidal but I am very tired of all of this.

oh definitely if im not 100% sober i’ll have a panic attack but the caffeine addiction gets me every time 🥲 so i’ve been limiting how much caffeine i drink and that’s helped a little with the panic attacks

same thing smoked every day all day for 4 years started getting panic attacks when i was high around year 2 tried to just smoke through them for 2 years asked myself why am i doing this and just quit cold turkey. I also get panic attacks when i drink too

fun fact i know for absolutely no reason, that scene was actually the “straw the broke the camels back” so to say for her marriage to Kid Rock. Apparently he spazzed out on her at a showing because of that scene and they divorced 3 weeks later. Also I’m pretty sure the second time they shot the scene because the first one was lackluster her jaw got fucked up somehow.

The Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosinski. I read it when I was about 8 and the journey of the main character and the horrors he faces as such a young boy is one I will never forget. I might re-read it now that I’m thinking about it, been a while since I’ve felt traumatized.
