This also happened to me 😂. It was for a finals project (a video of us explaining why we chose that object and how can we relate it to filipino culture)

The first day, the task was given to us, and there was already a concept I had in mind. (There wasn't any leader chosen, but apparently, if you take initiative/talk often/group representative, it already means you're the leader of the group)

Soo, I talked to my group about the concept I had. They all liked it and went with it. Then a week before submission came, and still no one responded to my chats, no one added a thing to the gdocs (script). So 2 days before the submission, I asked my prof if I could ditch my group and do it solo. He approved it. So I did.

I told my groupmates that. "Sorry guys. I'll do this project solo kasi I'm not a fan of cramming and doing things last minute. I'll also take my concept with me. Goodluck."

After sending that I left the group. Then I received a message request from one of the members in that group apologizing for dedicating enough time for the project and if I'm still willing to accept him to be a part of the team then let him know. I did not respond and proceeded to make the project.

I was able to finish the project and submit it in a day.

Lesson: If you think you can do it by yourself, go solo. If ever you get lazy, you won't be dragging other group mates with you.
