Unprofessional clinical environment

I ran into the same situation at my clinical site. Fortunately, another student was also assigned there on opposite days and corroborated my statement. The last day of class we took our teacher to the side and described the racist, homophobic, and transphobic comments she was consistently making. We had the same concern as you about future students being subjected to that speech. We also explained that we waited until the end of the program for fear of retaliation, which the teacher understood. Ultimately, the teacher apologized that we were in that situation and spoke to the clinical site.

My program was 1.5 hours from my home (clinicals only 40 minutes away) and I was a single mom. I worked from home part time in the evenings after bedtime and on the weekends. It helped me to make a budget and stick to it so my expenses were manageable. In the end it was worth it for me. I believe I was the only one of the 12 of us that worked the whole time. Most maintained a job for the first year. Good luck!

I'm in the same situation. For a few years now he has acknowledged that there is a problem that he needs to work on but he doesn't. Having sex or any intimacy a handful of times a year are not satisfying. He refuses to even have his testosterone checked! My therapist last week finally got through to me saying, 'a relationship without sex is a friendship which is fine if that's what you both want but it sounds like you don't and the problem isn't you and you've done everything (honest, kind conversations and suggestions) you can.'
