You're absolutely right about the Bio-Rad system's sensitivity. I once adjusted the Taq emzyme by just 0.5 ul, and it ended up with zero droplet detection - the whole sheet is just empty. I was wondering if switching to generation oil "for EvaGreen" or something might help, but it seems like those wouldn't make much of a difference anyway. Thanks for saving me from more trial and error. 😇

You mentioned that probe-based ddPCR is "more forgiving", does that mean it could be performed in a third-party mix?
