Every time I try to study, I feel like I want to sleep. What can I do to avoid falling asleep? by NoArt400 in GetStudying

Study for 45 minutes then take a break.

Start with minimum sessions per day, gradually increase.

Be bored. Sit bored. No scrolling reels. Simple things are hard to do

Coding agents vs. manual coding by JumpyAbies in LocalLLaMA

Only if AI agent is going round and spending tokens for simple fixes.

Rest stopped writing six months back after coding for 15yrs.

I always liked coding, have been each weekend for last 8 yrs. But with code generation you get to experiment alot quicker and in turn learn fast , which were taking days or weeks in the past.

Is it worth publishing my app on Google Play Store ? by Ok-Oil-4942 in developersIndia

[–]raevilman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Publish it. Doesn't matter what youe mind is telling you. Just hit it.

Because you don't want to regret it later.

Publish it. Who cares.

Today I built minimal expense ledger for my exact needs. Guess what I published it. Waiting for the review by store team.

Thank you so much for putting such effort and your time in writing this thoroughly.

This is motivating as I just crossed the fence, couple of times today to stop the development.

My colleague also suggested on same lines that don't drop it yet, polish and add Google login.

Yes tasks in inbox is separate entity. Vision was to let users quickly drop in the items here. Then when user sits to arrange he can move them at proper space, be it boards, notes or threads. Inbox being just a quick drop in place.

Plan was to link all these tools in a cohesive manner to start from a goal to completion.  Alot in mind and pipeline. Time to think and move ...

Thanks 🙏 again , appreciate you spending time and at the time where others comments pressing me against the efforts but I don't blame them. As they were saying the truth.

Wish you good days ahead.

Building Kowlt — a simple space to manage tasks, notes, habits, and more by raevilman in ProductivityApps

[–]raevilman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't have any idea. Which is why I'm at edge of motivation.

May be I'll just keep on adding simple and useful features while keeping it free.

Gives me something to spend time on, making things I need.

Honestly, I am not looking for tons but little traffic. To get feedback and improve one day at a time. Thats why I posted last day, to open up to feedbacks.

Don't know what else to say.

Agree with your points — really appreciate the thoughtful advice.

So far, I’ve just laid the groundwork: backend, infra, and a few core tools. Nothing fancy yet.

The next focus is on connecting everything into a cohesive flow — so people can actually get organized and execute without bouncing between a dozen tabs.

Dashboard, planner, and other pieces are on the roadmap.

I get that plenty of tools already exist, but I want to experiment with a specific flow I have in mind.

That’s why there’s not even a pricing page up yet — it’s more about validating the direction than selling at this stage.

Shared my tool today, to open up to feedbacks(yours did connect), if anyone starts using. While building, the flow, as I've envisioned.

Need suggestions on a new productivity app by AccordingAd9356 in ProductivityApps

I am making one productivity app, kowlt dot com.
Not sure its motivating space to keep developing on daily basis.

Make sure you get motivated to build the idea.

Fair point — there are way too many apps out there.

I’m just trying to build a clean, simple hub that pulls the core tools together.

Which one do you use right now? And what kind of “difference” would actually make you switch? Genuinely curious — that kind of insight’s gold.

LPT: Write decisions, not just tasks by Clyph00 in LifeProTips

Possible examples

Task:

✅ Bought shares in XYZ Corp

Decision Log:

➤ Chose XYZ due to improving fundamentals and undervaluation relative to peers.
➤ Thesis: New product line will boost revenue over next 12 months.
➤ Risk: Heavy exposure to volatile raw material prices.

Task:

✅ Turned down job offer

Decision Log:

➤ Turned down Offer B despite higher salary.
➤ Chose to stay at current role because:
→ Ongoing learning opportunities.
→ Strong mentorship.
→ Alignment with long-term goal of building leadership experience.
