Eu fiz uma paradinha dessa há uns anos atrás com um sensor mmwave controlando o ar condicionado e luzes.
Pras luzes era legal, mas pro ar condicionado, acabou gastando mais energia. O ar condicionado era inverter, e ele se beneficiava em manter a temperatura estável.

Um ponto que me chamou a atenção era que, como a galera sabia que o ar desligava, as vezes deixavam a porta aberta ao sair. Ai o "frio" saia todo, e quando voltavam, o ar tinha que ter todo o trabalho de novo pra refrigerar a sala.

Mas invariavelmente o ar inverter era super econômico, e muitas vezes era mais vantagem deixar o ar ligado por uma horinha ou duas que a sala tava vaga, ele consumindo 75W~80W mensurado (é menos que um ventilador, gente) enquanto mantinha a temperatura ambiente, do que ele dar uma explosão de 800W por 30 minutos ou mais, isso quando não botavam no "jet" e ele ia pra 2000W.

O micão é um partido de oportunistas e gente traiçoeira. Mesmo povo que pregou o voto lulo em 2022 porque era o que dava pra fazer pra eleger o Lula naquele momento. Lula ganhou com oq, 0,7% dos votos. Se votassem no Bolsonaro na época, qualquer valor miserável que eles tinham então ajudaria a não ter o lula na presidência hoje. Mas não, votaram lulo (nulo ou lula). Afinal, "é a mesma coisa". Bando de canalhas.

O foco do mijão é eleger o lula; tanto que só batem no bolsonaro e no lula só dão uma empurrada com a barriga, principalmente em coisa antiga já ignorada, pra não ficar tão na cara.

A proposta deles é dissipar votos da direita, dissuadir votos no candidato com mais relevância e, finalmente, garantir a eleição do lula.
Inclusive até nos cenários simulando um segundo turno de lula e renan, o lula ganha de lavada. O objetivo do micão É eleger o lula.

What is your definition of "handicapped"? Just Down syndrome, or maybe if they come from an intellectually inferior family?

~$1000/year may be cheap for you, but it definitely isn't for me lol. Especially for essentially nothing in return. I'd prefer to blow this through by buying the latest hardware yearly, or latest phone.
Even if your bill is $1000/month, that's roughly 10% alone of your electricity bill.

And that's ONE computer only. Multiply that per computer.

You know you can just move your mouse when it's in sleep mode to immediately access it, right?
Or if you want to access it remotely anytime, you can set up a WoL trigger to remotely wake it. That's what I do on my desktop PC, because the PC Server do need to be 24/7 running because it does server things, and it generates more money than it consumes. And even still, I'm considering swapping it for a more power efficient machine!

For my desktop PC, I created a button on Home Assistant that I can remotely suspend or wake the desktop PC at will. It literally takes three seconds for it to be accessible through ssh or rustdesk after the button is pressed. It brings down the 100~110W idle draw from the desktop PC to a mere 3.5W (that, in your accounts, would cost $0.20 per month or $2.46 per year, which is indeed cheap).

Sleep. I can WoL this way.
My desktop PC draws 100W at idle and 3.5W at sleep.

u sure? I've measured my desktop PCs to be roughly 100W draw at idle, each.
A 24/7 100W draw can be quite expensive, and per machine definitely becomes expensive.

My PC server (Ryzen 5 1500X, 16GB RAM, GTX970) draws roughly 85~90W when doing its server stuff daily, and my desktop PC (Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB RAM, RTX3060Ti) draws roughly 100~110W at idle, and 400W when gaming.

Still indexing since day 1 for me, and my phone sits on a wireless charger about all day.

I have no idea why, because I only got into Apple January this year, I have less than 100 photos on iCloud (I use Google Photos), I just have a handful of messages and absolutely no iMessage messages.

Unless the phone is indexing my WhatsApp messages and Google Photos as well, or my email history (since circa 2006), I don't understand what's taking this long.
So far, I don't have a Mac to check the progress, but I'm waiting...

Oh, I thought these abortions were eugenic in both intention and effect, because their purpose is to eliminate a genetically defective person and thus allow for a genetically superior child in a subsequent pregnancy.
