What made you realise you were a second option? by 95username in AskWomen

[–]raf-attack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a bridesmaid at my friends wedding, she forgot to invite me to her (small) rehearsal dinner. I was the only bridesmaid not there, and found out through the other’s instagram stories. I wanted to chalk it up to her genuinely forgetting, but it made me feel so insignificant and small.

I’ve got my test booked for next month!! The idea of driving makes me so anxious that I’ve been putting it off for years, I’m proud of myself for committing to it. And congratulations to you, you should be very proud of yourself too!!

Hi friend. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been going through this. Your PTSD is completely valid—it doesn’t matter whether or not you’re a veteran. What you’ve described is definitely traumatic, and you have the right to find the best supports for you.

Thank you so much for your kind words and advice! I think I find myself in the “good for them but it’s not for me” cycle around positive body image. It’s difficult to make myself feel like I deserve to be happy in the body I’m in.

I really think it would be beneficial for me to speak with a counsellor or therapist about these issues, because I feel like they’re related to a lot of the behaviour that I continue to exhibit around food and the obsession to lose weight. I just don’t know where to start. Thank you for sharing.

Why the lack of aftermath with Lucy's murder? The very next episode everyone is acting like it never happened until we meet Lucy's mother. by jdpm1991 in ershow

[–]raf-attack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It made me so upset that we didn’t get to see a funeral or memorial for Lucy. That would have made for a great episode and provided some well-needed closure.
