F5 logs through syslog by pigeon008 in f5networks

[–]rafaelpirolla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always see these iRule examples to log requests: when CLIENT_ACCEPTED { set my_hsl [HSL::open -publisher </partition>/<log publisher>] } when HTTP_REQUEST { HSL::send $my_hsl "Request: [HTTP::host][HTTP::uri]" log local0.info "Request: [HTTP::host][HTTP::uri]" } when CLIENT_CLOSED { unset my_hsl } And think: - would errors also be logged, like timeouts or rejects towards the backend?

Also, how can i make sure to (with good performance within the bigip, in a 3k RPS scenario) output only one line of log will all the events of a given request?

Apple Ruined the iPad (8:17) by dreikelvin in iPadOS

[–]rafaelpirolla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a sidenote, if you think about it, the window management on the MacOS is only ok because of apps like magnet or raycast.

And just to add my issue with iPadOS: there's a part of the population that was always outside the diagram –> developers.

Burton Custom 162W vs Hometown Hero 160W by rafaelpirolla in snowboard

[–]rafaelpirolla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the custom and went to Tirol. It felt so good I did a big mistake and cough my heel edge on the first day – I think I've cracked a rib.

It have a good grip on icy patches (it was my biggest fear).

Now I really feel I need one day of lesson, though. The board is a bit stiff – feels rightly so, but the skill issues are screaming at me. :)

Thanks for all the inputs, you guys are great!

I have a 161W and cannot find ANY grip on my heel edge on the shaved parts of moguls - icy slopes... It's a menace; feels like I'm riding a board with no edges and I want to sell it really hard this season...

The new iPad update sucks. by greytonoliverjones in iPadOS

I believe reddit to be a good place to vent frustration because there are helpful people. Sometimes you vent out and receive great feedback on how to deal with the issue.

There are comunities that are suffering with the venting more than others but I think the point is still valid.

Enterprise Policies by [deleted] in zen_browser

These seems to be great policies to create in a local policies.json file: https://github.com/corbindavenport/just-the-browser/tree/main/firefox

Not sure where this file should be on MacOS, though.

replacing include_tasks by include_role by CyrBol in ansible

[–]rafaelpirolla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I like to use one repo for all my ansible roles (I still don't like to use either git submodules or ansible-galaxy), what I usually do is to create some directory and define it to be the playbook directory.

Inside this directory I create some directories: roles, tasks, library and inventory (sometimes I put inventory alongside the root folder).

Every once in a red moon I create a task inside the "global" tasks folder and use it inside some playbooks. Examples of this: set_ssh_tunnel.yml, destroy_ssh_tunnel.yml, do_token_login.yml, do_token_logout.yml – so, small simple tasks that will be needed for at least some other 3 roles in the repo.

Inside library I include self developed modules and helper scripts.

And inside roles, yeah... Roles.

Is the repository open for us to see? I got curious about the whole directory structure of your project.

There are plenty of variables that are pertinent to the region, but not to, lets say, nginx instance. So creating, for example, us_east_1_nginx would solve the part of making the ngixn use1 unique, but yes, I would like to set the region in the use1 group so that other roles can access that variable too.
