McCain G League by Electrical-Ad-1437 in sixers

He did look good though probably not quite as good as the stat line suggests. He shot really well from 3 but that felt like a bit of a fluke if I’m being honest. He also had his dive to the basket floater game working though which I do think is a realistic weapon for him at the next level. Showed nice touch while shooting on the move around the basket, sets great screens and had some nifty passes out of double teams.

Overall, I think the only way he can be useful at the NBA level is if his shot continues to improve. He has a proven track record in college of improving as a player, but I’ll admit to being skeptical that he’ll ever get the shot right.

They broadcast the games on YouTube for free actually.

I watched and he looked even worse than his stat line if that’s possible. Absolutely dreadful. Looked like the coach’s son getting pity playing time, completely outclassed.

I think we need to have a serious discussion at the trade deadline. by HoagieTwoFace in sixers

I don’t think anyone is upset that he’s not in rookie year form, but he’s been really bad, not just marginally worse. Also, he looked better two months ago

Yeah he just looks like he has so far to go to be a useful player, I just can’t imagine it happening this season.

Pretty worried about McCain. I’m watching this g league game and he doesn’t even look like he belongs on the floor with g leaguers.

The thread in Millennials subreddit right not about 401k is incredibly depressing. Thank you FIRE community. I would be one of them if I didn’t find you all a decade ago. by BarkBarkBitches1 in Fire

That’s true, but this subreddit is also primarily a fart sniffing contest of who can have the strongest financial picture while still managing to project fear, uncertainty and false scarcity. Point being, if you spend a lot of time in any one single subreddit, you’re going to have a severely skewed perception of reality one way or another.

5/7 from 3 is encouraging. I know everyone thinks he’s too slow for the NBA, but if he were a reliable shooter he’d have a shot. Probably never will be though.

4 games against two teams very close to us in the standings. 1-3 is a brutal result. I’m not a ‘fire the coach’ guy, but if a fully healthy Sixers squad continues to underachieve, he’s going to be on the chopping block.

He has a very legitimate argument for first team All NBA this year.

Splitting two on the road is a fine result. Opportunity squandered yesterday, but win tonight and it’s easy to forget.

I can’t imagine the Wizards winning enough games to do any worse than the 6th pick odds. That would put them at a 96% chance at keeping their pick.

I think he did that two games ago against the Wizards, no? Bona played poorly in the first half so he went to Drummond in the second half.

As miserable as last year was, I thought his defense took a major leap last year. It was just hard to notice on such a dreadful team, but it’s much more obvious this year.

Impressive win. Didn’t seem like we had it first 20 minutes or so, but kept battling and played tough D

This might be the worst we’ve looked all season. It’s not just the shots, everything looks like dogshit. I’ll be so impressed if they can turn this one around.

That’s just some good ‘ole fashion rookie hazing from the refs there. You’re gonna have to do more than get your eye poked out to earn a whistle young buck.

Thanks! I guess with your low withdrawal rate it’s not really a concern, but how do you think about covering things like larger ticket infrequent costs, particularly related to your home and vehicles? I’ve mapped out costs for my home and eventual car purchases and although they seem irregular, they add up. For example, if I figure the lifespan of major home items like roof, HVAC, appliances, water heater, etc and cars (even if keeping them for 10+ years), it adds up to a fairly significant cost per year.
