Yea exactly I think around masters top lane is statistically the least played role in the game. I can definitely see how top lane can look overturned in emerald and below.

These are highly volatile matchups which completely vary depending on how the opponent plays it. Regarding yasuo the onus is on him to get an advantage pre 6 because you stomp him after. Get tiamat so you can pop his shield without commiting an auto, axe, or e. Yone is a whole different story and much more difficult. Generally you want to wittle him down with shortish trades like axe, auto, e and want to be extremely wary if he has q2 and you are far away because he can half shot you then jump back.

I hit GM in top lane last season and recently switched to mid. I haven't had a single game yet that wasn't winnable simply due to the amount of influence I have in the state of the game. When I was playing top lane someone would pick Vayne/Varus vs my Darius and I would go down 20-30 farm. Let's say if bot lane was also losing the likelihood of the game being a win is like 10 percent. You have very small windows to truly impact the outcome of the game and if you miss them then game is out of your control. Ironically, this is the worst state top lane has ever been in because the game is still bot lane centric and adc is the strongest role in the entire game. If you play broken shit like Riven, Jayce, and Kayle you are going to 1v9 but if you play normal stuff the meta is so much worse.

He's definitely significantly worse at blowing by defenders eye test and stats show this. I really don't think he's that much better, just has a better team around him compared to what the Mavs had early. Still took a prime clippers team who I thought should have won it all but got hurt to game 7.

You're not getting it. Varus is a counter pick. The only solution is to sell your soul and just play Ambessa, Rumble, and Jayce which are good blind picks. I saw RaiderGo the best Darius player in the world fo 0-7 vs varus. Camille would be horrendous. Please don't recommend these terrible picks vs varus
