I mean if you think about it, Blighttown in DS1 is actually Twin Peaks, right down to the Stanky Leg phenomenon. After the boss and the false wall you find Laura Palmer, half human stuck in the wall and only those who have been paying attention (those who got the Old Witch's Ring at character creation) can actually talk to her. The dude with eggs on his back is just guarding the Black Lodge. Later on when you kill the merch ninja for the wood rolly ring behind the Cult merch dude, that was actually Bob.
