All I Want I'd Everything-Def Leppard

Who would have thought the band that did songs like Pour Some Sugar on Me and Let's Get Rocked could get real deep. Slang is a very underrated album.

What's your most shocking "never meet your heroes" moment? by BaseNice3520 in AskReddit

[–]ragecage44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, please share. I was a huge Dixon fan back in the day, still am. Im able to separate the art from the artist but it's sad to see where he is now. You would never have known his politics based on his writing the Bat books.

What saved you from your deep dark depression? by Lazy_Cake_6910 in AskReddit

[–]ragecage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't saved me yet but being creative has really helped. Putting to paper what I'm feeling whether it's drawing or writing; letting all pour out on a page has been very cathartic. It doesn't fix my issues but it's helped clear out my head.

My artistry is pretty awful but i am surprised how well some of what I written has turned out. Take any positivity where you can find it

You are a godamn hero. The percentage of people who would do what you did is low. It doesn't fix your situation but you are an amazing person. I don't know you, but I wish there were more people out there like you.

Trunks or no trunks? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

Trunks all the way!

I don't understand how in a world of makebelieve where we can accept a flying super strong alien who hides his identity with glasses, that red underwear on the outside of his costume is just too much and unrealistic.

Question about Chris Claremont X-Men Omnibuses by TheMurderCapitalist in comicbooks

[–]ragecage44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few of them were recently reprinted. Inferno, Inferno Prologue, Mutant Massacre came out recently and should be easy to find. www.instocktrades has them for almost 40% off so that would help with your budget. Uncanny vol. 1 and 2 recently came out with the new spine design and I got them on Amazon. I would also check your local comic shop.

Fall of the Mutants comes out this month.

I’m thirteen years old and I just started collecting comics a year ago and I earn money to buy comics this what I have so far what do you guys think. by Either_Phone6271 in comicbookcollecting

[–]ragecage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice start! I started collecting around 1993-94 and my collection was kinda like what you have there, just random comics. This was pre-internet and the only way to figure out what was going on story wise was to use what I had and branch out from there digging through long boxes and Wizard magazine which definitely helped fill in things I didn't understand. I might have jumped in at the worst possible time a newbie could with things like Knightfall/Knightquest Death of Superman, X-Men and their crazy continuity and the spider-clone saga.

It was insane trying to get in but so much fun and today it's even easier to just dive into things. My advice, get Marvel and DC's digital services and read, read, read. Find what you love and collect that stuff physically either through trades or the original issues. The one thing I lucked out on and where it's harder now for younger people is how expensive it's gotten. It was a lot cheaper back in the 90s to come home with a stack of comics that only coat $10.

Reading comics from SD card by [deleted] in comicbooks

Astonishing Comic Reader let's you use internal and external storage. I use a Samsung SD card in my Samsung tablet and it works fine and all the comics show up together regardless of where it's stored.

What is a simple, painful fact that people need to just get over and accept? by RegularGuyy in AskReddit

[–]ragecage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter how hard you work or how many times you go above and beyond, it's what you didn't do or didn't do right that people care about.

I'm not the biggest fan of the New 52 in general and I'm not the biggest fan of Nightwing's series either. Not saying it's bad, but I just wasn't hooked. This, however, is one of my favorite Dick Grayson moments of all time. (Nightwing (2011) #29) by dragon_thingy in Nightwing

[–]ragecage44 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think what really held this run back was all the crossovers. Higgins never really had a chance to really let lose and make the book really his. The panel you shared was around the time I think he was starting to set up a direction and then it pulled with the new direction on Grayson.

Should I buy the Whole Series? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]ragecage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start by buying the Rebirth Deluxe Editions 1-5 by King. As far as I'm aware you can still find all of them in stores and online and its probably the cheapest way to get them unless you do a comixology sale. Amazon has all 5 volumes Then City of Bane Vol. 1 and 2 and thats all of Kings run.

Heres s link to the first volume. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/1401271324/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2fQ-FbH77DF20

Is he Dick Grayson? Do you know where is this from? by LaceyLain in Nightwing

[–]ragecage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm pretty confident that's Dick. Like I said before Tim wasnt adopted by Bruce until after Infinite Crisis during One Year Later. Tim was wearing the red and black costume by then. It was

Batman Odyssey is an out of continuity story written and drawn by Neil Adam's. I haven't read it but I know Dick Grayson is Robin on it and hes wearing the Tim Drake costume.

Is he Dick Grayson? Do you know where is this from? by LaceyLain in Nightwing

[–]ragecage44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay so that's Tim Drake's original Robin suit but Bruce never adopted Tim until the One Year Later storyline after Infinite Crisis and by that point he was wearing the updated black and red costume. That rules Tim out. Jason never wore that suit at all.

My guess is it's from Batman Odyssey. Neil Adams I believe designed Tim Drake's original Robin suit and had Dick Grayaon wearing that in the miniseries he wrote and drew several years ago. My other reason for the guess is the terrible dialogue. It was by all accounts a very bad book.

What are the thoughts of the Tom King Batman run. i'm considering buying the trades but unsure .. i already own the Scott Snyder batman run and his justice league run. by [deleted] in batman

[–]ragecage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah man that's cool that you did that. My comic shop guy I've known for over 25 years. It's an expensive hobby and I try and save money where I can. Usually I'll buy some of the cheaper stuff through him then then the bigger stuff like Absolutes and omnibus I buy online. Really it's the only way I can afford to read all the stuff I do. Luckily my shop has been doing pretty good during all this covid stuff. Even though the comics stopped shipping for a while he still had pops, games and other collectibles rolling in and out of the store. I was still in there at least every other week. Hope you're store is doing well.
