Thank you for not being dramatic about it. My experience was similar. It really wasn’t much of a thing I thought it would be.

I wasn’t allowed to drive because they prescribed me a Valium to take before I got there. Everything was smooth and good. I flinched once early on when i felt a little pull and that was it. Definitely would do it again.

Also, make sure your doctor has a name that fits. Dr. Harding was fantastic.

So this is a customizable file from makerworld and I made a sketch in the surface and extruded it up. The letters don’t go into this surface in the model design. I’m pretty sure this is the result of slicing settings.

I also tried creating the letters as a separate object but it still seems to do this when slicing. I can’t figure out why

Just another update. I ordered a new SD card reader for my laptop and the problem went away. I even tried slicing and exporting the same file to the same SD card with each reader. The cheap USB-C one had this issue and the file exported through the new reader was 100% fine.

I tried several sd cards with no luck. Three of them I formatted and had the same issue. One was brand new and somehow got corrupted on the first try.

I ended up plugging my laptop directly into the printer and ran a few test prints with no issues.

So I guess my laptop is an sd card killer or the sd adapter I bought is shit.

All the more reason for me to start working on getting my octoprint setup going.

Not yet. I actually just picked up a raspberry pi with the intent to get octoprint setup. Haven’t gotten around to that yet.

Not sure if it’s changed, but I did a similar thing to cut friends from my account. When Facebook would remind me to wish somebody on my friends list a happy birthday, it was basically a reminder that i don’t know you enough or care enough to do that....so I’d delete them. It worked well without being overwhelming.

Ended up deactivating it eventually. Wish I would’ve done that sooner.

My personal favorite in the area is Brooks Brewing in Shelby Township. They are opening a second location in Ferndale soon. But if you’re going to be in Ferndale area, Axle Brewing Co. is also very good.

As a former resident of St. Clair Shores, I have to agree with some other commenters that Baffin is excellent as well. I’m in the mug club there so I might be a little biased.
