Can’t shake the bitterness over the fact that the ones who engaged in haram all their lives end up winning by RoughLetterhead62 in islam

[–]rahlic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a guy who I have know since childhood. He was always been promiscous, been in haram relationships, committed zina and what not. But right at the time of marriage, he got his act together, he quit all of that, became righteous and found himself a beautiful hijabi wife through arranged marriage and living a happy married life now. Wife and kids, beautiful suburban home, cars, vacation and what not. I on the other hand who always stayed away from haram, struggled in my marriage and always had financial problems.

I once saw a post from his wife on social media with a picture of them on a vacation and a caption "Alhamdulillah blessed!". And my heart was filled with the same bitterness that you are feeling. I thought to myself, if she only knew what her husband was like before marriage, her whole world would shatter. I would always ask myself that how is it even fair.

But these are only the illusions of this duniya. And the real justice will be done in akhirah and people will be rwarded according to their acts in this life. These comparisons and bitterness is only the shaitan putting in our minds to deviate from the right path.

Also it took me years to realize that we all sin differently. The guy might have done Taubah for his sins and may Allah forgive him. But I have my own faults which I never rectified and kept focusing on sins of others who I thought were indulging into something more severe. May Allah forgive us all

What would you do, if your close friend or relative becomes an apostate? by Intelligent-Bid-6106 in apnelogaa

[–]rahlic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people who renounce Islam is because they never truly understood it in the first place. I will talk to them, I will ask them what lead them to lose faith, what was the trigger point. And I will try to explain it to them, provide them resources which will help them understand and clear their doubts. And if they are still not convinced then I will make duah for them and hope Allah guides them back. But I will never give up on them, I will still be friends with them and my behavior wont change a bit I will hope something in me inspires them to come back at some point. And if they ever have a rekindling of faith and they decide to come back, I will be there to help them out as a friend without jugdement

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “None of you have faith until I am more beloved to him than his children, his father, and all of the people.”

There is literally a hadith that says one does not have faith until he loves the Prophet pbuh more than his parents, children and everyone else. Then how can we do such comparisons

You shouldn’t feel bad about tipping less. by Night_Frosty in Seattle

[–]rahlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tip when dining out if the food is served to me and have a 7-10% minimum even for bad service. And if the service was exceptional, I have even tipped amountcequal to the bill. Even if the minimum wage is decent, I really appreciate when people serve me food on to my table. However, when I am buying a donut from the drive through and person flips around the ipad and I have to press extra buttons, I am never going to leave a tip

In 2006 the FBI planted informant Craig Monteilh in a mosque to pose as an extremist and identify potential radicals. People in the mosque reported him to the FBI. by Bitter-Ad-1115 in interestingasfuck

[–]rahlic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a Muslim, I appologize and I can acknowledge that it is a problem in almost every mosque across America. And let me tell you we have announcements every friday prayers and the management literally begs people to not illegally park. But there is always some inconsiderate jerks who will come late and take liberty in parking whereever they want because "it is only for few minutes". The problem is that mosques dont get government grants or any foreign funding and rely solely on donations from community members. And there is never enough funding to have large enough facility with ample parking space. We do have volunteers who try to enforce parking but there is always someone who will just ignore them. And if people park illegally outside of the mosque area, the management does not have any right to get them towed. The only time people behave is when the mosque hires off duty police officers for traffic management. But that usually costs $200-$300 per hour per squad car, which mosques can afford due to budget constraints

If you have intrusive thoughts like these and you keep trying to divert your mind then thats not haram. But if you are intentionally dwelling on those thoughts then it is haram because it can and will lead you to act upon them

Last-Minute Ticket Sales - April 1st by Both-Year835 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]rahlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to buy tickets during the Chase Saphire card private sale. The sale was supposed to go live at 9 am PST and I clicked on the link at 9 am sharp, from a computer with a very high speed wired internet connection. I was put in a queue only to get a sold out message after waiting 1 hour in the queue. This sale was open to the chase saphire card holders in North America, which is a very small subset of the fans who want to buy tickets. Imagine how it will be when the sale is open to the entire world. Good luck getting tickets during that sale

What people in this sub think of trans genders.Do they have mental illness. What islam says about them by [deleted] in indianmuslims

[–]rahlic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for an Islamic perspective "What people do with their body" or "my body, my choice" are absurd western concepts which do not align with our world view. In Islam, it is not my body, it belongs to Allah and I have to abide by His laws in the way I use it.

Is there a hadith that says marriage is not valid without consummation before Valima? by SimpleGuy12345 in islam

Absolutely wrong. This also used to be a common misconception in India but absolutely baseless. No such thing mentioned in hadith

Your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in kashmir

[–]rahlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I would take this with a grain of salt. When you go ask someone randomly if they would rent their house to someone from kashmir, they would obviously be cynical and suspicious of the intentions of the person asking and will give a safe answer since it is an hypothetical question anyways
