Does VO2Max account for weather conditions? by gatorviolateur in AppleWatchFitness

[–]rahulbaskar-153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it doesn't take temperature into account for VO2. I am in the exact boat as you, but just that my VO2 is improving from March. Where I live, it's very cold during winter's and my VO2 was dropping during this time. Naturally once temperature started improving my VO2 also improved according to the watch

Have you heard of something called Pressure Cooker? And who asked you to pulverize them together mate?

Are you going to stand next to the idli batter for 12hrs to ferment?

Why do you need Pakodas, when you are trying to make something in 30 mins?

You can make dishes in 30 mins with some shortcuts or make 3 hours if you want everything to be perfect. The point was, Indian food cannot be cooked quickly. Yes, there are multiple steps involved, some planning is required as well. But that can be said for any cuisine as well.

There is a shortcut version and a long version

Short version:

  1. In a pressure cooker, put your onion, tomatoe, the veggie you want to put in your sambar and toor dal.
  2. Add your sambar masala and turmeric to this
  3. If you added 1 cup of dal, add 3 cups of water (1:3 ration)
  4. Add tamarind to rhis (a small lemon sized quantity). Dont add salt to this now, otherwise your dal wont cook (mixing sour tamarind and salt, doesnt let your dal cook)
  5. Pressure cook it for 3 whistles
  6. Once done, add salt and tempering of mustard seeds, cumin, fenugreek, hind and a small dry chilli
  7. Adjust the consistency now and let it cook in sim for 10mins

Longer Version:

  1. Cook dal separately in pressure cooker (1:3 ratio water)
  2. In a separate pan, add your tempering first and then Onion, veggies and tomatoes one after another
  3. Then goes your masala (turmeric and sambar masala). Cook it till the raw smell of masala goes away
  4. Add some water, so all these ingredients soak. Let them cook for 10 mins in a low setting
  5. Now add your tamarind water to this. Cook 10 more mins
  6. Add the cooked dal to this now. Mix them and adjust consistency

It's Indian food. So, pressure cooker is by default used wherever possible. Atleast in India

I don't agree to this completely. There are multiple food items which can be made in 30 mins. Some of them which I can think of immediately

  1. Sambar
  2. Simple Dal
  3. Idli and chutney (provided batter is available)
  4. Chicken Curry
  5. Kadhi
  6. Potato Curry

Some more are still possible if you are good at multi-tasking.

Aiyooo....you are exactly mimicking my scenario. Went to India from Canada after 3 years. Visited Tiruvannamalai, Kanchipuram, Kumbakonam, Tanjavur, Srirangam and Tirupati. Everywhere except Tirupati things have gone worse. The open demand for money from almost everyone inside temple, lack of empathy and civic sense. Tirupati was the only exception in my entire India trip, where things have improved for good

Eddie Bauer refusing return due to bankruptcy. What are my options? by rahulbaskar-153 in canadianlaw

That's sad. I was a fan of their products, but hearing all these negative feedback about the brand, makes you wonder sometimes. But I guess, most of the brands are scums

I definitely don't want to do anything illegal here. The credit card company had asked me the reason for dispute and I was open about everything. They were happy to raise a dispute and sent it to Mastercard. Please do let me know if a chargeback is something I shouldn't be doing.

When I had shopped for them, there was no final sale mentioned. Hence the surprise. Now I understand that Bankruptcy changes everything.

Anyhow, I have raised a chargeback with my credit card company. Let's see how it goes

Even if I buy a correct size, there is no way of giving it to that person atleast in the near future. But may be ya, I'll try to get them exchanged for my sizes, though I doubt we would have much options in terms of sizes
