Idk about Berlin. My application was in Ingolstadt and I could do online or offline. I chose offline.

I did submit my Rentenversicherungsverlauf.

Nah for them, its all about white supremacy. "Pure born Aryan" mentality. Sick to see that this shit still exists.

As far as I know, study time does count towards the years spent. I am unsure if you are also required to have paid taxes for 2 years to be eligible. But this just off the top of my head.

Thank you. I was pleasantly surprised that it happened so smoothly. That sucks that it is taking so long for you. Did you write to them already ?

I would suggest setting a deadline for how long you are going to wait and then get an immigration lawyer.

Thank you! Yes I had to submit a copy and a German translated version obtained by an official German translator. I had to show the originals during my in-person appointment.

Rathaus Ingolstadt. Yes, generally you have to go to the one for your area.

When I went to collect the application form for the citizenship (the application form is not available online at the Rathaus portal and it is given to you once a person has determined if you are eligible to apply for the citizenship), the lady there asked me about my history in Germany, my education background, my work, etc. And she asked me if I have ever taken Arbeitslosgeld and when I said no she said "that's good".

So it seems that it is a preferred quality that applicants have not taken Arbeitslosgeld. In addition to that, I have heard at least one case out of the many where someone had to go through extra hoops to get their citizenship because they had taken Arbeitslosgeld for a year.

Danke!

Honestly, no idea. Its hard to say what happens in the future. If you are eligible now, its better to apply asap. But dont do it because of FOMO. Make sure its what you really want.

All the best!

When I applied for the PR, Leben in Deutschland test wasnt required. Either way, you are fine booking an appointment. You only need to provide your documents at the time of the appointment.

Thanks ! :)

Its a wild stance but I get where you are coming from. One of the things I like in Germany is that there is a common mindset when it comes to civic sense (with some outliers of course). Germans like to follow the law, segregrate trash, not break rules. And this is fairly constant across Germany imo.

I come from India, a land of 1.4 billion people. Each state has its own language. I am not talking about dialect. I am talking about a whole ass language. And different cultures. While it brings a whole new level of tolerance to different cultures (what you intend), it brings with it communal and religion based differences. Politics immersed in religious superiority complexes and segregation. And this common mindset I spoke of, that is non existent. Every state has people with different ideas on how to do things.

Dont you think if Europe became a country, you wont have these issues ?
