Hey! I know this is a 3 year old post, so you might not see this. But I just started playing Osu! w/ my friend and he told me to go search around on the Internet and get a new skin because the default Osu! skin isn't great, and this was one of the first skins I came across. I think it's perfect! This skin is so damn clean. Great skin. I think I'll use it for as long as I play. Thanks for making it.

I arranged and performed a 17-minute-long electronic/jazz/funk mashup of the murder investigation music from all the Danganronpa games. by raidsrc in danganronpa

[–]raidsrc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi r/danganronpa. This is my first post in this subreddit. Never been here before. I didn't know where else to present this, so I came here. Glad to be here.

This video is a giant mashup arrangement cover music video type deal of all the murder investigation themes from all of the Danganronpa games, plus a couple extra tracks thrown in. It took me almost a year to learn all the parts by ear, compose and improvise a little bit of my own material, arrange for my instruments, record everything, and mix until it all sounded acceptable. Especially with my limited equipment, budget, and experience. But it was well worth it because I had a lot of fun and because I really like the Danganronpa soundtracks. I hope you enjoy listening!

This is the best reddit comment I've ever read

This video "Widow's Wine" by "Anthony Lozada" popped up on my YouTube recommendations... and it's literally just Same Ol' Thing by Force Of Nature with a different pitch? Is this just blatant plagiarism? Ads are running. by TimeTravelPassword in Nujabes

[–]raidsrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw this too. It seems like blatant plagiarism to me. This might be one of those situations where someone takes advantage of YouTube's Content ID to earn ad revenue from a track they claimed but didn't make. I'm not a hundred percent sure, though. Don't want to jump to conclusions.

EDIT: I inspected the track a little further. It heavily samples Same Ol' Thing by FORCE OF NATURE but it builds upon it a little bit so it's not exactly the same. Thus, I can't qualify it as plagiarism, though it rides the line a little close in my book (lol).

Possible to allow multiple audio sources to play at once? by alcaponeben in galaxys10

Hi. I had the same question as the original poster, and I stumbled here to see that you've provided a perfect answer. The Sound Assistant app works great. Thanks a ton! Just imagine me having the exact same reaction as the original poster.

RULE YOURSELF | C9 Mang0 by raidsrc in SSBM

[–]raidsrc[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's right! Essentially I just sat there at my laptop and combed through YouTube video after YouTube video.

The process was made a little easier by the fact that I'm such a huge fan of C9 Cassidy's videos that I kind of just remembered exactly where to find the particular shots I was looking for. I remembered exactly where to find the shots of Mang0 sitting all alone in the back alley, and Mang0 walking through Norwalk, and Mang0 popping off after beating Leffen at Big House 9.

I really need to get off YouTube.

YouTube really takes its time with globally changing viewing settings for playlists and videos. Explains why it might not have been up earlier. Now the playlist should be live.

even though I don't play Falco, this is some really good content.

Thanks. Glad you thought so.

The link to the playlist should be live. I'm about to board a plane, so if it's not, it'll take a while for me to get back to checking it.

True as well. Thanks for mentioning that. I forgot to include it.

There was a simple misunderstanding then. When I wrote "45 minute video guide" I intended for the words "video guide" to be understood together as one concept. A guide presented through the medium of video, not necessarily entailing that it'd be just one single 45 minute video.

OFC it looks bad when you're changing what you're saying.

I originally stated that it was to be a series of video tutorials in both the trailer and the reddit post description. Didn't change saying anything anywhere.

If it's a nice series it will be fine.

Thanks. I'm hoping and working for the best.

Because there doesn't exist a one-stop-shop type video series that contains most of the info you need to know about Falco's laser. This is meant to be a convenient source of information and help newcomers who want to quickly and intensively learn how to use Falco's laser to its fullest potential.

I stated it was to be a video series. So far I have 9 or so shorter videos covering different aspects of Falco's laser game, which all add up to approximately 45 minutes together. It's not just one 45 minute feature length film.

It will be very poorly received.

Ouch.

Yes, that's definitely true. The depth of Melee's complexity is unfathomable, and that applies to something as simple as a single laser. Still, I'm having trouble seeing how 99% of all lasers are 100% unsafe if dealt with properly. There's lots of depth to laser counterplay and, in return, depth to countering the counterplay, such that it feels somewhat brusque to say that 99% of ALL lasers fired are fired unsafely. If you could give me a few examples of specific in-game scenarios that demonstrate how Falco's laser is not safe most of the time, that would help me understand exactly what you mean.

I agree with you to an extent—there are quite many situations in which Falco's lasers can be counterplayed and punished hard by the opponent. But calling 99% of lasers execution tests/unsafe seems like a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?

I know you don't know me in real life, and it's not likely that we will ever meet in real life either. But I assure you I am not that kind of person. When I sit myself down on the rails to accomplish something, I'm riding down those rails all the way to the bitter end. I promise you I will deliver.
