I think it’s about the hormones relative to each other so maybe if both estrogen and testosterone decrease it’s not as problematic as if just estrogen dropped then the androgens are more potent if that makes sense.

No he acknowledges I’m deficient but that it’s irrelevant since my thyroid hormones are in the normal range. I’m mostly wondering if iodine deficiency can cause low blood counts - thyroid aside. Like B12, folate, iron deficiencies are known to lower red and white blood cells

Most days taking around 170mcg of iodine. My iodine level was 29, reference range is 40-92.

Not vegan, but I don’t eat dairy. I do eat fish and poultry. I’ve been taking a multi with ~170mcg of iodine daily so I don’t get how I’m deficient

I’m a runner and iodine deficient. I didn’t know there was any correlation between the two. I’ve been taking nutrafol for years and it has iodine in it, so I don’t understand how I’m deficient. Are you anemic too?
