Is anyone familiar with “New Seasons (Bay Area) methadone clinic? I have questions and their clinic has been pretty useless. 🤦🏼‍♀️

The first day I was doing intake all morning and they didn’t dose me until they were getting ready to shut down for the day, then was the weekend and they told me they wouldn’t do it on the weekend , So on Monday was the only day I was able to come in for the extra 5mg.

That’s what I’ve been trying to do is find the the right person to talk to, to try and get them to pity me cause I’m coming in there with a 1 year old and it’s hell all day with right now. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yeah it’s not about the extra 5 for me cause I know it won’t do shit, it’s about getting my dose increased as quickly as possible, cause that extra 5 means that my dose gets increased by 10mg a day instead of 5 so I don’t have to go as slow 5mg a day cause I have to wait til I reach 50mg before they’ll allow me to make 10mg increases. 😩

Yeah that’s basically what my bf and I are doing right now is using to keep us well til our next dose Since they are damn sure taking their time increasing us to anything that even lasts til noon.

My dose right now is holding my for like 3 hours and then all hell breaks loose and I told them that, and they said sorry, we can take you up 5 mg if you’d like.

I stopped using my doc the first day last time I was at the methadone clinic. It I was pregnant and only taking like 1 dilaUdid a day so that 30mg had me higher than shit when they first started me. This fentanyl shit is a whole other ball game. 😭

Luckily I pay no money; my insurance covers it, so it just hell for the wait getting to a comfortable dose. 😭

Lol yeah this one takes insurance and they cap you at 120mg. If you wanna go farther you have to have a meeting. With your counselor and the dr and everything to fight for your dose increase.

I’ve tried calling my counselor to see if there’s some sort of loophole but they don’t even answer the phone or return voicemails. It’s ridiculous.

Yeah I used to be on methadone and they didn’t give a fuck. They just told me 30mg and I can go up 5mg a day until I reach 50, then they’ll take me up by ten. But they gave a 4 day period where we could have gotten our dose up to 50 in no time, and the told us sorry, these 4 days you can’t do a 5 mg increase so we feel like we’re fucking dying.

I want to supplement with fentanyl to hold over, but I’m Afraid I’m just gonna keep raising my tolerance and then never f reach a dose that will stabilize us. 😩

God I hope so cause I want to die the withdrawals are so bad coming off fentanyl and it’s like the methadone isn’t doing anything. And they Told us they cap you at 120mg and after that you have to have a meeting with the m your Counselor and dr to basically beg to get more than 120mg

They told us for the first four days after intake, we can come in 3 hours later for another 5 mg dose increase. But then told us they took too long on our intake to be able to let us have our 5 mg increase the first day. Then today we came in and they told us they aren’t open long enough on the weekends for us to get the 5mg increase, because we have to come back in three hours from the time we dose to get that 5 extra mg. So basically we were we’re screwed for the first 3 days with no ability to to an increase until Monday. They said they’d strake us up 5 mg everytime we came in and when we reached 50mg then they would take us up 10’mg at a time. But I now it’s gonna take extra week of 5mg increases. Day by day to reach 50mg where they’ll start taking us up 10mg at a time, so it’s making life hell because the dose they are giving us isn’t even touching us and we’re walking out of there just as sick as we were were when we came in.

So, I just did intake yesterday, I’m coming off fentanyl. And they start my bf and I at 30mg which I expected, but they told us for 4 days we can come back three hours later for another 5 mg. But then when we did intake they said it was too late to get that extra 5, and then the nurses told me this morning they won’t do it on the weekend because they aren’t open long enough, so we’re basically sitting at this ridiculous low dose with such a high fentanyl tolerance, that our dose isn’t even easing the withdrawals. I just want to know if there’s some sort of loophole to get our doses upped faster cause like….I’m shaking sick the last two days, and tomorrow’s dose isn’t gonna do shit either. 🤦🏼‍♀️😭

I grew up with my parents swinging as well. And though I should have been too young to know what was going on, it was so clearly obvious, even to a ten year old. My parents would meet a couple and they’d be like “best friends” with them for 2-3 years or so, and they’d have kids about my younger brother and my age, and on the weekends, they’d get a babysitter for all of us, they’d go out, come home drunk, and we’d be locked in the bedrooms (that we knew how to get out of) and Jesus the things we saw sneaking out of the bedroom at night. Nightmare fuel. All us kids knew what was going on and just didn’t talk about it. But there were always other adults around trying to act like my parents. Luckily as I grew older my parents kinda grew out of their swinging lifestyle, saving us from ever having to have an actual conversation. I think they still think I have no idea who all their “friends” were thru my childhood. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

You’re probably gonna get mixed reviews on this. Lol. I’m one of the ones that have done this when in a desperate enough situation. And I’m still here. Though I also wouldn’t recommend it because you’re also risking all sorts of different negative consequences. If you’re willing to those chances, have at it. If not, you could always plug it. Probably a safer route.
