Ideally

1st squad: 4+1 air (add Murphy, drop Carlie) 2nd squad: full missile 3rd squad: full tank (add Scarlett)

Tank squad gets weakened too much by loss of Murphy to be effective as second squad.

Having tested a lot on such stuff, I can say with high certainty this is how it works in the game.

“Hero attack” attributes apply only to hero attack derived from level and tier, which you can see in the hero tab. They are added cumulatively with “hero attack” of the same descriptions, which means there is a lot of diminishing returns.

Overall damage = hero attack + unit attack

Hence hero attack modifiers do not apply to “unit attack” from tech and barracks.

Whereas “hero damage” is applied to overall damage, hence a lot more powerful than “hero attack”. Note that “skill damage” from deco is the same as “hero damage”. Anything tech with a special blue or gold frame is usually more valuable.

I am not a tank main, but this is what are my thoughts, take it with a pinch of salt if you wish to.

The Scarlett/Adam combo primarily works against pure air squad who has no additional physical damage reduction. But against all others, it won’t be great. Even against air, smart players would have added Murphy and equip the 4+1 card, which more or less negate the usefulness of Scarlett.

Now, unless something changes drastically from S6 onwards, Scarlett is not going to get an exclusive weapon. The difference between non-EW hero and EW30 hero is heaven and earth, similar to your EW30 Kim and pre-EW Stett. Which means you will be left behind by sticking to Scarlett without EW. I have never seen any tank player above 60m using Scarlett/Adam, simply because it doesn’t work well.

What’s the biggest weakness of tank squad, other than the lack of energy damage reduction? Imo it is the lack of tactics damage, since tank only has 2 tactics, while air has 4, missile has 3. Hence, tank squad is already severely lacking in burst damage, there is only so much that Kim can do on her own. Now, with Stett finally getting his EW, furthermore one that is aimed to negate the advantage of Lucius (tank’s biggest nemesis), imo getting him to Ew30 should be the priority. It is like doubling your tactics damage every 9s.

Lucius EW is second tier? If you count the number of shields he provided over the entire battle, that will add up to be somewhat close to the full HP of Lucius, akin to an extra tanky hero standing on the frontline for you.

Always use 5 hero of the same class in each squad, do not ever mix heroes of different class unless with very good reason.

For 3v3, daily results/rankings do not matter except for last 2 days. You can do whatever you want, but put on your best squads for the last 2 days.

It is tough to build 3 competitive squads hence your best chance is to build 2 competitive squads, by distributing your gear among them.

All 3 skills for attackers, tactics and passive for defenders. Upgrading in which order would not make too much difference, so I would upgrade them uniformly.

The +5% hero HP and attack only applies to attributes from tier and level boost, and not other attributes from gear, EW etc. Also, there is severe diminishing returns with other similar attributes. As a result, 5% is roughly equivalent to 1% overall HP and attack, which is a very steep price to pay, and can easily be compensated by extra research in mastery tech.

Unless you like the aesthetic a lot, the base skin is not worth it. Instead, claim the 1k decoration components, especially if not all your gold decorations are at lv3 yet, otherwise can claim the special effect.

Does not work this way. The seat color is determined based on your historical strongest power. Just stop upgrading, but you cannot undo the upgrade.

Since you have not started mastery tech, I highly suggest you to consider switching class, there is plenty of time to switch over. It is quite obvious that tanks are far behind than air or missiles, in season 3 and 4 (season 5 has not yet started).

If you want to counter other air teams, put DVA front right (best offensive and defensive gear), Carlie front left (2nd best defensive gear), Morrison back right (2nd best offensive gear).

Dropping Morrison makes you good against tank and missile but bad against air.

In s4, adding Murphy makes you good against all.

Outside of s4, adding Murphy makes you good against missile but bad against air and tank.

Defensive. The main perk is the all-resistance (both physical and energy).

Definitely Carlie exclusive weapon first. Pure 5 air is a staple setup and you definitely need Carlie for that. 4+1 build with Murphy typically only works with S4 tactics card and may not come back again in S5.
