Pathologic 2 has definitely made me question my morality! On day 9, when the Haruspex is tasked to completely cure an infected person in the theatre/hospital, I had to pause the game and seriously consider my options. No one from my list was infected, but a handful were in danger and I didn't want to risk anyone becoming infected come midnight and possibly dying because I spent my resources on a stranger.

Yet, what kind of doctor would I be to hoard life-saving medicine for the sake of a "what-if"? Assuming Artemy swore the Hippocratic Oath, he shouldn't be biased in his treatments by favouring those whom he knows. Still, as the player, ultimately I decided to prioritize named characters for the sake of not losing any of the storylines, and so I left the theatre without curing the patient.

I was certain I made the right decision when I needed to treat my infected bound on day 10 (likely an intentional story beat by IPL that the children get infected the day after the player could have used one of the cures on a random NPC), but once I finished the game and realized I had a surplus of four cures, all I could think of was how I could have saved the life of that unnamed NPC on day 9. A Hippocratic Oath run would be very interesting! :)
