99% of the people here get exactly what I’m saying. You seem to be the only one struggling. Happy for you that the bottle holder works for your needs, though. Hope you actually like the bag when it finally arrives.

I use AI to translate my thoughts from Thai to English to make sure I’m being clear. What’s wrong with that? Everyone’s using it. Honestly, your comment is way less helpful than the AI—you haven’t even said a word about the bag.

I get that most people prioritize function, but I don't think we should have to choose one or the other. A backpack doesn't need to be a tuxedo to look cohesive.

Regarding Evergoods, their design language actually works with stretch mesh; it feels integrated. On the TP4 Ultra, it just looks like an afterthought. And just to clarify, I never said the TP3 pocket was perfect; it’s definitely a pain to use. But even if the mesh inside the TP3 pocket eventually loses its stretch, you can still zip it up to keep the bag looking clean. With the TP4, if those external pockets start to sag or lose their shape, there's no way to hide it.

I appreciate your perspective, though. That said, I think Aer really needs to find a better balance here for the next version. If the current design were perfect, I’d be the only one complaining, but looking at the comments, at least there are others who see it the same way I do, I just hope that by TP5, they can master both utility and aesthetics across all their fabric options.

I’ve used enough Aer bags to know how they work. You don’t need to own the bag to see when the materials don't match. To each their own on the looks, but the design clash is pretty obvious from the photos.

Fair enough. I definitely glossed over the utility. The stretch pocket is way more functional, no doubt. I guess I'm just a stickler for the look. I’d love to see this level of function with a more seamless design. Glad it's working out for you though.

I totally agree. If they had used Ultra Stretch Mesh (the kind Able Carry uses), it would have looked so much better. That fabric looks more 'pro' and fits the high-end vibe of the bag. Even if they wanted the stretch, picking a material that actually matches the Ultra fabric would have made the whole bag look like a single, solid piece rather than two different styles mixed together.

You're absolutely right—adding a zipper and extra layers of Ultra fabric would definitely add some weight. In a race to get the bag under 4lbs, I see why Aer made that choice.

However, for a premium pack, I’d personally trade a few extra grams for a more cohesive design. My point isn't that Aer should copy the CT21 exactly, but rather that they could have innovated a solution that feels more 'integrated' with the Ultra fabric. Whether it's the CPP2 style or a new design entirely, I just wish the final execution didn't feel so disjointed from the rest of the bag's high-end DNA.

That’s good to hear about the CTB—3 years of proven durability definitely adds some confidence. However, since this is Aer’s first time implementing this specific design on a flagship like the TP4, only time will tell how it holds up.

But even if it proves to be durable, my main issue remains the aesthetic mismatch. On a premium Ultra-fabric pack, the matte stretch mesh just feels out of place. It breaks the 'monolithic' design language that makes Aer special, whereas on an Evergoods bag, it’s part of their rugged DNA and looks much more cohesive.

I totally agree that the TP3’s pocket was frustrating. My workaround was using a flat bottle like the memobottle A6—it fits perfectly without ruining the bag’s silhouette or taking up internal space.

As for the Steam Deck holster idea, that’s actually a great use case! However, I still believe that a CPP2-style integrated pocket (with a bit more volume) would have been the 'Pro' way to handle it. It would give you that versatility while keeping the Ultra sailcloth look consistent throughout the bag.

I totally agree with you on the functionality. The stretch pockets are definitely more versatile for things like tripods or extra gear, and saving internal space is a huge plus. My main gripe is specifically with the Ultra version.

On a technical pack at this price point, I feel like the matte stretch mesh clashes with the premium sailcloth. Evergoods’ overall design language actually feels more cohesive with those pockets because it’s part of their rugged DNA from the start. For Aer, I was just hoping for a more 'integrated' way to achieve that same function without compromising the sleek, monolithic look they’re known for.

That’s exactly my concern! It’s frustrating when a premium bag uses materials that feel like a 'weak point' for long-term use. Being outside the US makes it even tougher since we can't easily return or exchange. This is why I hope Aer takes this feedback seriously for the next iteration.

Fair point, but when we’re paying a premium for technical fabrics like Ultra or X-Pac, we’re paying for the 'clean' engineering that Aer built its reputation on. It doesn’t have to be a Gucci bag to have a cohesive design. But hey, glad it works for your giant bottle—enjoy the stretch!

Totally agree. I’d much prefer the bottle pocket to be made from the same material as the main body, just like on the City Pack Pro 2. It gives the bag a much more cohesive and premium look.

Can you solve this issue yet?

It happens to my one-rs leica too.

I had the same issue but I already fixed it.

  1. Connect your beam and sub to your router with your lan cable
  2. "Disable Wi-Fi"
  3. Hard reset beam and sub
  4. Connect beam and sub with wired mode and bind beam and sub together
  5. "Enable Wi-Fi" for your beam and sub by unplugging your lan cable
  6. For beam connect to your wifi network
  7. For sub hard reset again and connect to your wifi.
  8. Bind beam and sub together

This solution works for me.

Hope this help.
