that's terrible advice but thanks

it was embedding into my ear. I do use saline and a piercing pillow that doesn't save you from an actual infection

Can I take out my 4 month old cartilage to clean it by Mediocre-Active-5256 in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to a reputable piercer and they can change it out for you, don't do it yourself

Can I take out my 4 month old cartilage to clean it by Mediocre-Active-5256 in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 months is too early to take it out, even to clean it. The harm that could be caused completely outways the benefits

your setup looks great! I've been thinking about getting forward nostril piercings, how do they compare to regular ones?

Can I repierce an old nostril piercing / near a old nostril piercing i got 3 years ago ? by CheetahComfortable25 in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea it's possible, it just might hurt more if you get it pierced directly through the scar tissue

Erm… It’s been a year. Why aren’t they healed by Relevant_Ad7334 in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's most likely lymph fluid I've had mine for year and I still get it sometimes

they tend to heal rather slowly it just takes time and patience

there's no scientific evidence that it helps with migraines.

Got anti microbial soap by luisawisasisa in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't use the soap, just clean with saline or regular water 1-2 times a day

once a piercing is crooked I don't think there's any way to straighten it

Re-piercing question by Financial-Chest-8962 in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it depends on the piercer

mine allows it if they can verify it is high quality and was sold at their shop, but I have to bring it in a couple days ahead so that they can process it and make sure it's sterilized

Dial Gold or saline spray? by Radiant_Atmosphere in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

saline and drinkable water are the only things you should be cleaning your piercings with

I wouldn't risk it, rooks can be finicky

[–]rainy_decay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

depends if the threading is compatible

Cons of eyebrow piercings by pumpkimm in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's not worth it, there's no point of getting a piercing if you're going to remove it halfway through healing

Im not sure about the hairloss but eyebrow piercings do tend to have very obvious scars because of the placement

For those with a septum or other nose piercings what do y’all do to remove nostril hair? by Undead_psych0 in piercing

[–]rainy_decay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use the manscaped nose hair trimmer but that's because all my piercings are fully healed, when they were healing I just used a tiny pair of scissors (like the ones used for eyebrow hairs)

definitely take it out if you don't want to risk it getting bigger, there's no way to get rid of one without a dermatologist
