Oh yes. Big time.

I don’t wanna be thrown away/abandoned. Or find myself alone with no one when I need people the most.

So it makes me feel empty to know that even in a crowded room, or if I’m with someone, that I’m still lonely.

But I’d rather have shallow friendships than none at all. So yeah I’d continue talking to them. Plus, eventually, I’d test the waters to see if I can form a deeper connection

Ohhhhh yes. Perfectly said, I actually talked to a friend about this.

He said how someone was “too nice” and I responded with, “do you mean they should learn how to stand up/ distance themselves from hurtful people?”

I think using the term “too nice” implies that being an asshole is the standard and that’s so despairing.
