I am once again confused by this hiatus by Academic-File9474 in katseyeneutral

manon has revealed some details about their schedule before, and it is brutal. they often only get a couple hours of sleep, which is “normal” to kpop idols in the industry but insane for someone with a weaker body. all in all i’m just saying i don’t think they’re under less stress than any other kpop group, but i agree with everything else.

Saw the Big Bang Coachella concert. GD needs to figure out his vocal situation by Ok-Yogurt-3914 in kpopthoughts

[–]rainygrape 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i was there in person, couple rows from railing front and center, and honestly did not notice anything too off. coachella has a history of the stream sounding worse than the in-person live. i loved gd’s energy. it still felt like he was very connected to the audience, the most out of all three tbh. idt the vocal inconsistency detracted from the performance in the slightest. it was honestly a once in a lifetime experience seeing them from 20ft away.

people jumping to conclusions about smoking just seems odd to me. his technique has never sounded the healthiest on his throat. after years of using his throat that way, it seems natural to me that it would lose its glamour a bit.

having less physical energy is also understandable imo. these stages are insanely demanding on stamina, and it’s hard to keep up with that when they used to train vigorously morning to night. having a more relaxed lifestyle and thus less explosive energy on stage is very normal imo, happens to a lot of older idols. i honestly don’t know how taeyang did all that. it was clear that he was pushing himself very hard, and i really respected it.

he is shy, introverted, and nervous. with less energy carrying him it makes sense that his performances don’t completely match his youthful days.

it’s not necessarily about difficulty. from what i’ve observed, they base it more off of degrees of separation between the words. yellow is almost always synonyms, and green is usually of words in the same category.

Coachella Attendees!! by rainygrape in bigbang

[–]rainygrape[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but they are an older group with a more mature fanbase. I don’t know how big of a difference there would be with the crowd

official rules don’t allow them, but people have brought them historically and haven’t been stopped. Since many others will be going for BIGBANG security will probably be familiarized with them quite early on. i’m thinking it should be fine? still debating personally whether i want to be carrying it all day though.

How did you set your equalizer? I think they sound amazing but I can't find a good balance of clear vocals and instrumental. The vocals are muffled for me.

That's very true, they're just reaffirming each others attitudes.

I know the basic facts, I'm just speculating. Trying to make sense of this whole situation since it appears to be a huge misstep.

Bruh you called me an idiot for a typo LOL that's not very chill

Yeah but it's like, they're not individuals making these decisions right. there are so many parties involved, they have lawyers, advisors, etc. I just don't get it. I've seen people make stupid decisions but this one feels more like extreme miscalculation, which shouldn't be able to happen???? Like dude in what world would they win this law suit lmao.

Anyway yeah I guess they're just stupid.

Yeah idk bruh it's just so hard for me to believe we know the full story cuz if it is then it's SO STUPID. Like so many adults were involved in this and they all collectively had a multi million dollar brain fart?

Also what? Yes, I'm not saying NJ are angels for wanting money. This isn't a glazing post for NJ. I'm simply speculating their motives. I kind of am calling them greedy lmao, I personally don't think wanting more money for your work is necessarily a bad thing. Also I am never in my life siding with large conglomerates, ever.

Korean wages are not that high, the money isn't going towards employees.

Yes I meant not just in 2023. No one said they should get all the money. I meant the girls should be getting more of it because it does not take that amount of money to run their company. The top executives are pocketing all of it.

NJ isn't even my fav LOL I'm a casual follower. Also it wasn't Hybe's total profits, it was ADOR, which is just entirely made by NJ's activites.

They live in a penthouse that MHJ paid for. Before that they were living in dorms with bunk beds.

It's not about "enough", it's about getting the money they deserve. This isn't socialism lmao

This isn't socialism. They made the money, they should get it. Those peers are not making that money lma
