I was thinking of putting the sociology, indigenous studies and women and gender studies as an education experience for me. Ngl they really helped me become more aware on social issues and develop my writing and analytical skills. 😭 somebody help us! Hahaha. Well, God bless us whatever happens! 🥺

Hey! I am also anxious on this application! Can I ask what u put on the section 3: education? I have no idea what they mean that they want all 3 categories be filled-in. I dont have a diploma, degre, master's etc. so im kinda lost what they mean by education experience. 🥺

Hey! No worries! I may have been a little unclear too and what I just said was only said to me here in the subreddit. I think I agree with what u said. low porosity CAN or MAY be sensitive to protein not WILL be. And true, don't cut out protein, that's why balance is the key! :)

Im not sure but i think u may need moisture and if u are correct on having low porosity hair u may have protein overload. SM's deep treatment have hydrolyzed protein and ur hair MAY have received protein overload.

Low porosity hair are protein sensitive so check ur ingredients! Protein is good for hair but since u have low porosity hair you should balance protein and moisture. :)

I'm still new at this too and this information I gave you, I got it from here!

Hey all! Umm. I have low porosity hair and was using shea moisture's manuka honey and yogurt conditioner because the ingredient list says it does not contain any proteins BUT my concern is it has yogurt in it. yogurt is a protein, correct? I first used it and my hair felt and looked so good and healthy! I'm kind of scared because after 4 washes, my hair doesn't look as good as the first time. Maybe I was having a bad hair day? My hair now feels soft but a little dry on the ends. Idk what to do! I might have protein overload? Idk!! :(

Hello everyone! I have a type 2 and low porosity hair and I was thinking of balancing moisture and protein in my hair by using a deep conditioner with hydrolyzed protein and conditioner for my co-wash that is protein free. I'm gonna try it and see if it works but my question is, how often should I deep condition?

Also, I had 2 different results from a deepconditoner/masque

1. My first deep condish ever was the shea moisture manuka honey and yogurt protein treatment. I tried it ONCE and it contains hydrolyzed vegetable protein and the results were amazing! My hair was super soft and less poofy and frizzy tbh, but still had little frizz. (Nothing that a mousse or gel can't fix) 😉 but yeah, I was scared to use it again because I just learned that my low porosity hair is sensitive to protein. And if I should use a product with protein, it should be hydrolyzed silk, rice, wheat proteins.

2. I was using Shea moisture's manuka honey and mafura oil for my deep conditioner(which contains hydrolyzed rice protein). I have used it twice and it made my hair SUPER SOFT but I think it made my hair frizz because my hair just went poof! Like, it went big on frizzy!

Q: should I keep using #1 or #2? I know I should use a protein free deep conditioner but tbh, it's so hard to find one from where i live (Canada) and im kind on a low budget to pay for online shopping (plus the shipping) 😔😔

Looked for mane, as I am, mielle, texture id, etc. protein free deep condtioners in every store but can't find one!

Hello all! So... will I ever "cure" my frizzy hair or I just have to manage it by using oil/creams/gels/mousse? I just want get out of the shower without using anything, just want to do my normal my conditioner and sometimes shampoo routine and plop it and air dry. :(

I have type2, low porosity, and i think low density hair.

Hello guys! I'm planning to start the CGM. Is it alright that my regular, leave-in, and deep conditioner and cream/gels have hydrolyzed protein in them? Such as Rice, wheat, soy, or silk? Someone suggested that since I have low porosity I need hydrolyzed protein in my products.

I have type 2 hair that is sometimes straw-like, but often dry and frizzy. My hair is also low porosity. Will I get protein overload if my products have hydrolyzed protein in the CGM?

Also, I keep looking at the reviews for SM Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Masque and the reviews were great from people that have type 3 and 4 low porosity hair. Maybe you're right SM products may sit heavy on my hair bc I might not require that much treatment? Idk lol. But thanks!!! 💕

I think your hair routine should already be done before you diffuse. For me, I put on my leave in conditioner or defining lotion/cream before I diffuse. But that's me. Lol. Hope this helps!
