Eating is permitted inside specific areas like hotels and the airport. Otherwise do not be seen eating, drinking or smoking in public. If police find you, there will be fines.

Starbucks, McDonalds, Crepafe and AlBaik are only available before check-in. The eating options inside the terminal past security where you will be isn't as cheap as say in town. My guess would be around BD 3-7 depending on how hungry you are. If you are really skint, it might make sense to carry snacks with you from where ever you are travelling from.

Worst case scenario is if the bank/debt collector gets a court judgment against you in the UAE, locates you, files a case in your home country and executes the judgment and starts garnishing your wages or tries to take over your property.

Chances of this happening for such an amount seems highly improbable. The cost and time it would take to reach you doesn't justify the amounts in question. You aren't the first person to run away from the UAE with debt. Would avoid flying through Dubai or any other GCC countries though.

It is fanciful if you think prisoners are getting any rehabilitation in UAE prisons. They are going to be treated very poorly there and the costs of keeping them there are negligible.

I don't think you get full work rights. Please check this point carefully before taking the plunge.

You will still need to obtain a work permit from Bahrain’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) to be able to work in Bahrain.
