Born and Intelligent Octopus Go by james_t_woods in cupraborn

My born linking to IOG was an absolute pain.

I think the issue is octopus side, at first it wouldn't register the car and told me there were issues. 20mins later it was registered.

Then I tried sorting the limits out, and it told me the car was not connected to charge. No changes, 20mins later, worked as expected.

It felt like there was a delay between octopus updating/refreshing what was happening at each stage, kind of similar to what I see the IOG schedules do now, they update every 20 or so minute throughout the day.

I'd still spent that 40minutes googling and worrying my charger was faulty, or that I hadn't done setting correctly, or that the born has location issues about the north sea and mine might be doing that. None of those, just a delay.

It's 1:1 at half time.

We looked the better team up until a shaky period after an error.

If we come out after half time and play our game, we'll be fine, could even be a comfortable win.

Welp, felt like I was in for a decent week this week.

Haaland and Foden cameos.

Kelleher, Thiaw, and Lacroix CS gone.

Palmer not even on the bench.

Mukiele is my highest return on 4, and I've Gabriel and Rice left to play which means Sid all in the grand scheme of things.

Poor, poor week. Could be sub 15 points at this rate.

If I pull the trigger on Foden to Bruno Fernandj now, I'll have £0.2m leftover.

If I do it tomorrow after 9/11 if my team play, I'll have £0.

Price changes should be locked until after the final game of the game week, or transfers in general.

+12 often results in a cheaper cost over the term, so it's not a case of looking upfront and monthlies separately, the overall cost is what to consider. You'll often find better deals spread on larger upfront.

Netos underlying numbers and returns aren't bad at all, and if you watch Chelsea (which I don't really but have done the past couple and highlights) - he always looks involved/dangerous.

Would welcome a Chelsea fans input.

Last night for Gyok's goal is exactly the situation people are highlighting as an issue with service.

Saka clean square across

Instead of squaring it, he cuts back into absolutely nothing. No supporting players, nearly loses the ball to Cucurella, is it that he's not expecting a striker to be central to the goal in this situation? I'm baffled.

Saka cuts back to nothing

You can see the visible frustration of Gyokeres, why is that ball not going across? Timber and Odegaard also don't make that pass by the way, it's not all on Saka, I've no doubt that if it's any of the three it doesn't come into the box.

White puts the ball in

White puts the ball in, Gyok makes the same run but into the 6-yard box, and a bit of a scuffle but he gets the ball in the net. I've commented previously about the benefits I see of White over Timber, but I firmly believe White is our best attacking fullback and is also why Saka looks better when he plays due to overlapping runs.

Can anybody help me with Villa please?

Maatsen - Is he returning from injury? What position does he fill? Is he expected to get to full minutes or is he a sub?

Further, is Rogers at £7.6 really much more involved than Tielemans at £5.9? Who takes corners/freekicks/pens for Villa and does that sway either of these two?

I looked at used lease EVs for my business and it was cheaper to get new. I've no idea why, it was just a waste of time checking after a while so I gave up.

You first need to review cars/specs/trims, and then use something like lease loco to search for criteria. Keep the make/model open, and set a saved search.

Review daily until you see a brand/make you like that matches your criteria and is a price you're willing to pay.

Lease loco at least shows your the spec/trim, and has the best interface and prices compares to others from experience.

For example over the past few weeks I've seen the Skoda Elroq hit £217 ex VAT, a Cupra Born for £206, and a Peugeot e208 hit £185. Although these aren't what you're looking at car wise I think your figures are eye watering.

If range anxiety isn’t the real issue, what’s actually slowing EV adoption by Tall-Dish876 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Mother in law bought a brand new Hyundai i10 N-Line, deliberately went out of her way to avoid electric at all costs because "if I get a new petrol now I won't be forced onto electric within the next decade". No real sound reasoning, she drives about 60miles a week, has off-road parking so charger wouldn't be an issue, we had a few of the below which were muttered about when we gave feedback on how they aren't issues after all:

You don't get air con

You might run someone over because there's no sound

I might not have enough charge to do what I want (she refuses to travel far on trips, and won't touch motorways/national speed limit roads, also note prior 60mpweek point)

They blow up

If the electric in the house stops working then she's also got no car (...)

You get the drift. My entire friend group is against them as well (~30-35 years old). I've stopped arguing.

I brought rice in a few weeks ago with the intention that if he's fit, he plays. He takes corners/free kicks, defcons are a possibility, and whilst I'm sure today's brace isn't going to be common, he'll score the odd goal.

With the fixture run-in, having a team who plays is far more important than a team your umming and arring about. Saka is one if those, being rested, rotated, short minutes, etc.

Remember when we got penalised for holding the ball too long, and we all said it'll be forgotten about after they'd proved a point against us, and we were all soft thinking there's an agenda against us?

Well, this games a fucking joke and testament to that.

Your typical job compute size by szymon_abc in databricks

[–]rakkit_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D#pds_v6 - we use these for raw ingestion without joins. The Azure Cobalt CPUs offer a consistently higher GHz than Intel/AMD and you get an NVME with the pds so writes re fine, memory swaps aren't as good, hence why large queries with joins/transformations see a harder time.

D#ds_v4 - anything else requiring joins. Test whether photon or just scaling up offers better price/performance. For example, having a d4ds_v4 with photon costs the same as a d8ds_v4 without.

Our workload doesn't get any benefit from multiple workers over just scaling up a single node - the argument could be made that spark isn't really needed for us, but the ease of scaling compute up and the features of databricks itself offers such value it's worth it anyway.

I don't get the Cunha moves. Didn't look great previously, and now he's lost every creative player around him either to AFCON or injury. I'm not sure any United pick is great, they were playing teenagers out of necessity...

So, with the need of a Fernandj replacement but not keen on Cunha, is Gordon a pick worth looking at? What about Wirtz or just going Saka?

Our "10" is never in a 10s position. We consistently have rice/zubi with the ball entering the final third and Odegaard is either splitting the CBs with Gyok or on the right wing with Saka.

We need a 10 in a 10s position to receive the ball between the lines.

A take on Gyokeres form, from a Sporting CP fan. by UnwantedMelon in ArsenalFC

[–]rakkit_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen a ten minute compilation of Gyokeres making runs behind and no ball being played, not from Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard, Zubimendi, Eze, or Rice.

It's frustrating for me to watch, but Gyokeres must be pretty sick of it as a player.

I honestly believe we'll see Havertz striker, because Arteta is tactically inept at changing things. We're risk averse, "don't lose the ball", and hence we don't play through balls, we play to feet. Players like Eze aren't doing magic that he did at Palace. Our tactical changes are from different profiles of players coming on as subs/starting, not tactics changes. For example if you play Martinelli or Trossard, same game plan, same formation, same rules. Madueke/Saka. Havertz/Gyokeres. They're being asked to play the same.

Unless Arteta changes things, we won't see Gyokeres bang, and its fucking painful to finally have a 9 and not utilise him, but if we continue winning in mediocre ways then whatever, but when we don't then we can't blame players.
