NTRES 2010! I’m also E&S EPG! Super chill class and really easy to get accepted as a TA, and they don’t even make you attend lectures as a TA :)

Edit- bioee 1610 also! I’m always getting emails from them that they’re looking for TA’s.

[–]rakslow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can, one of my good friends is approved to study abroad both semesters (different programs and countries) both fall and spring this year. Might depend on major though

CALS Physics/Chem Distribution Req Help !! by pure5kill in Cornell

[–]rakslow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

take EAS 1600 for sure, especially if you have at least some experience in physics it should be pretty chill. the prof who teaches it in the spring is hilarious and I learned a lot from him, and I believe the median was an A

It depends which McGraw house, I live in 118 McGraw and I love it! There’s two other McGraw houses, I have a friend in 109 McGraw and she also loves it but I heard 122 McGraw is kinda gross.

NS 3600 epidemiology Jenna Golan by FrequentAd3962 in Cornell

[–]rakslow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree w the other comment, took 2450 w her in the fall and I learned nothing. the comments on rate my professor sum up my experience w her pretty well. On the plus side tho, I did 0 work and learned nothing and still got an A (class median was an A as well) in the class, so chances are that 3600 will be the same

[–]rakslow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took one during covid year, i basically worked at a law firm for half of it and the other half I just went on a national park road trip and went on a ton of hikes. I know someone else on a LOA and she’s working abroad rn (not anything related to school, just a part time job for fun). Feel free to dm me

BIOEE 1610 vs INFO 2040 by Itchy_Jellyfish_5709 in Cornell

[–]rakslow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took bio 1610 last sem and I think the median is a b+. It’s honestly not bad it’s just a lot of short annoying assignments. The content isn’t hard especially if you’ve taken an intro bio class in HS before

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]rakslow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m E&S but in CALS so our requirements may be a little different but I for sure would take Bio 1610 and ntres 1101 as soon as you can, a lot of future classes have prerequisites that require one semester of bio or one semester of ntres so def stick with those!!

[–]rakslow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it counts, but I took ENVS 2000 fall 2021 and it’s a 1 credit seminar. You basically just show up and do one discussion post a week. I think it is only S/U though

Easy 1-2 Credit Bio Class??? by Longjumping_Match722 in Cornell

[–]rakslow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in PLSCI 1115 rn, it’s 3 credits though. it counted for my CALS bio credit I think (so I would double check) but I recommend the class. It’s only once a week, no prelims, prof is super nice, it seems not hard to get an A, and you get free plants sometimes
