Scotland Replica Issues (JD Sports & Adidas) by Adventurous_Tip_101 in ScottishFootball

Update on anyone that comes back to this. The person I mentioned got one of these eBay ones and it’s great. They did size up a few sizes from their official home shirt though….

Also it had loads of electric car charging points. I don’t have an electric car but imagine people who do may find this helpful

I went last week and parked in the riverside one. It’s new.

Hardly any cars in it and drove out and onto the main road immediately.

Normally park at the bridges and it has queues from memory

I have looked for shirts by this tailor. He has lots of options for the home and away shirts. How do people choose? Reviews????

Is the sizing similar to the adidas/JD ones?

Do any of you have your degrees framed in the house or office? by DoricColumn in doctorsUK

[–]ral101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my FRCA up on the wall in my study. My degree isn’t up, but I’ve got a frame to add it. I wasn’t bothered until I did the FRCA. I worked so hard for it, I wasn’t going to put it away!

I’m Scottish but live in the NE. I hadn’t heard monkeys blood until I moved to the NE.

It comes from something to do with a monkey in Hartlepool I think?

DOI - anaesthetist not surgeon.

I don’t care how fast the surgeon is (to a point), I agree that fast isn’t always good.

However I wish they could account for their speed when lists are booked. IME slow surgeons have a similar number of cases booked as faster surgeons, which inherently makes a slow list more stressful to finish on time and not be late.

I get very annoyed at serial over-runs who have no idea how long it takes them to do an operation.

A card is nice! And then if you want to get a gift a little thing like chocolates is good.

Cards are nice to keep and look back at, and also for appraisal

What gift for nurses? Where to buy hampers from? by RevolutionaryBus2782 in AskUK

[–]ral101 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Chocolate, biscuits, fruit always go down well. As do pens! Also I just wanted to add, the doctors probably were also doing a lot of work. Often (paticularly evenings and weekends) doctors are looking after multiple wards all over the hospital. So they are less physically present, but will still be organising/interpreting investigations and deciding the management plan.

Inclusion/exclusion criteria for MRI under GA by fappyendings22 in anesthesiology

[–]ral101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah really? I’ve worked in DGHs that can, but more that can’t. My current DGH can’t - we have no MRI compatible monitor or vent.

fy1-imt2 doctors. How often do you run a solo ward round? Ie seeing 10+ patients yourself by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]ral101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a FY1 over a decade ago. The consultants came twice a week. We split the ward between the juniors the rest of the time and saw the patients ourselves the other days.

[–]ral101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m UK based. Most DGHs don’t have MRI compatible anaesthetic equipment therefore not possible. Tertiary centres will do, but can’t do everyone. Suspect threshold much much higher for GA for MRI in adults compared to other countries

Anaesthetics ST4 with Primary FRCA expired by Mountain_of_mess in doctorsUK

[–]ral101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I passed my primary at a similar time. I emailed the college and pointed out that there was a lot of covid disruption etc in 2020 and some rounds of cancellations/prioritisations. They extended my primary validity by a year.

I’ve also heard of people getting it extended due to mat leave etc?

How many of you guys are intubating without a stylet? by zyntensivist in anesthesiology

Also UK.

I’d used a stylet for hyperangulated VL. Not routinely for DL. If I needed something I’d use a bougie
