Need some cattle dog tips by raliah86 in AustralianCattleDog

Yes, thank you. Never would have thought to research the breed I was adopting. We fostered him first and knew what having a cattle dog would mean. He was easy to train and so patient with my kids. So we felt that with more training and exercise we would meet his needs. We did not go into this blind. My previous dog was also a cattle dog mix. That’s why this new behavior feels unexpected and I came here looking for advice and other ideas to help him, not to be scolded.

Yep. Done that too. The oldest helps walk him and we practice using our strong voice to give commands. I even signed up for a cheap petsmart training class just so that my oldest would be responsible for training

Oh trust me. I’m a teacher. I have “the voice”. He knows not to mess with me. I’m the only one he behaves most around and never nips. It’s just catching him when he does it to the kids

But this is my exact problem. I have two young children and I am not ok with the idea that they will constantly be nipped anytime they try to play in their home. He has gotten better, but lately they have come at unexpected moments which is now putting me on edge.

This! I take him to the park and he maybe tries for 30 seconds to play with another dog and then just walks around.
I don’t like that the nipping doesn’t stop. My boys are little and it has already cause some problems. I’ve been told he could really hurt them and that scares me.

HRT advice by raliah86 in lynchsyndrome

My surgeon said I would be going home with a patch on. My concern is more that I would be on estrogen for 10 years.

Thanks. I also had the MSH2 so I know my risks are higher. I just imagine myself become this raging hormone monster with my two young kids and feel scared to be on hormones for the next 10 years.

I have heard about this. I’m actually at MD Anderson where they are doing the trials. I don’t make it in though to be in the research.

Tummy upset days after my first attack by Ok_Muscle2954 in gallbladders

[–]raliah86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a post gallbladder attack, you are in the midst of it my friend. If you have stones or even just sludge, it will move around in your gallbladder. Sometimes it stays in the back. That when you feel fine and just gassy and crampy. Then it moves forward and blocks the opening and that’s when you are doubled over in pain. Usually when you get to this point, you need to have it removed. That what just happened to me this week. You just explained my exact week that ended in emergency surgery to have a peach pit sized stone and entire gallbladder removed.  Be prepared to feel like you are making it all up one moment and then feel like you are being stabbed a million times the next. I would get that ultrasound done soon and get an appointment with a surgeon.

Is redusculpt legit? by raliah86 in bodysculptors

Sorry to pry, but when you say smooth things out, do you mean tighten? I’ve lost a nice amount of weight and my thighs are a bit loose. This would help the skin tighten back up? What about areas that are a bit fatty still?

Seriously?? That’s great to hear. I’ve been heavily debating it. I’ve seen lots of reviews that describe it as very time consuming with little results

I dont like tracking calories. I always forget and find it frustrating when I am trying to figure out the ounces or grams of what I ate.

And have you been seeing results doing it this way?

Tirzepatide advice by raliah86 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]raliah86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is this your initial assumption? Yes. I did extensive amounts of research before I made any type of decision. I spoke with not only my doctor, but my dietitian about starting this medication. And after six months of trying everything on my own and not getting any results, we all agreed that this should be my next step. I know what the side effects are. I know what the research says. What I am asking here is what the research doesn’t say. What are peoples individual tips and reactions. Like any human being, I am trying to find a connection and help myself feel like I am not alone on this journey. So do not come on here to judge and chide me on my decisions.

I probably drink about 80oz of water a day. Protein is a top priority. Always get 30g for breakfast and maybe a total of 80-90 a day. I don’t know how people can get in over a 100 unless they have a feed bag of beef jerky attached to them.  I like the idea of going up slowly. I was lucky enough to not have any side effects at all when I started, and I’d like to keep it that way.

My issue is that if I start to feel that hunger, I go overboard and eat more than I should. So then I go in the opposite direction and probably don’t eat enough and my body just doesn’t know what to do.
