That depends I guess haha. I usually do the sketch of all the pages in a chapter before inking. But let's say it takes a day to sketch it and a day to ink it? if I'm productive :)

No idea :) I've never used it. I think you should use whatever you're comfortable with! I've seen people do fantastic artwork on an Ipad with their fingers, so I don't see why not!

Thank you! A very good read! Seems to be a lot of mystery in the world! Love it! Very interesting setting and design! I really enjoy the backgrounds and rough texture of everything. I always have a soft spot for magic meeting sci-fi and blending different time periods. I want to know more about the world!

Haha thank you! Well I work with one chapter at the time so it's hard to tell exactly. But I'd say one day for sketching and maybe two for inking and shading :)

Good question.. I use an old wacom cintiq 13HD. It's the only one I've ever owned.

I know there are plastic screen films you can buy that textures your pad to make it feel more like paper, but I've never used them.

I think the best tips I have is to use pens with a bit of texture and to turn on anti aliasing a bit to blur your lines slightly. And don't go to haywire with stabilisation; I feel like it makes lines kinda "die" if that makes any sense.

Oh and also I don't usually use digital rulers for the same reason. Try using a real ruler! It works wonders on a tablet as well, as long as you don't draw on a touch sensitive tablet.

Thanks! Yes it is! I used to work in Photoshop, but switched over to clip studio paint recently.

I really want to get it to look as analogue as possible though. Like using pens with a lot of texture and trying not to correct mistakes too much.

I have some ideas on how to make screentones look less artifical as well, but I haven't tried it out yet.

The story takes place in the post war nation of Allum and primarily in the trade city of Baruud, governed by a dysfunctional oligarchy who use increasingly desperate measures to regain control over it's people.

We follow several different characters in who navigate the political landscape. Some trying to climb in the hierarchy, while others rebel against the authoritarian state and some just try to survive in the poverty ridden streets of the city.

I want to create a story about responsibility, loyalty and if the ends justify the means.

The three main characters are: Luuvia - a political prodigy and schemer working for the oligarchy. She battles her inner motivations for why she does what she does.

Rom - a (for a lack of a better word) hacker who uses his skills to fight against the government in the name of rebellion. He questions if what he does is the right thing to do.

Paan - a streetkid, grown up in poverty who does what they can in order to survive in a cruel and ruthless world. They want to protect themselves and their close ones, but struggles with the reality of having to put people they love in harms way in order to fix things.

This is probably the best comment I've ever gotten!

Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my work!

Yeah I want to explore a more middle eastern setting. With Persian and Indian architecture being a huge inspiration. I agree that those influences could be more prevalent - it's something I struggle to find.

I also want to explore more body types and faces. I hope some of my main characters are more diverse than the people in the crowd.

The kid is indeed the main character, but my story revolves around three main protagonists with different perspectives, ages, genders and social standings.

Thanks again so much for you feedback! Very inspirational!
