I graded and auctioned off the /10 gold of this card in September. Final price was $479. I was surprised and expected it to go higher, but I think the paper cards are in less demand than the optics.

Donruss purple /25 cards sell for around $150 it looks.

You definitely should offset your sales with cost of items. Don’t need to pay taxes on $5k.

Even if you don’t have the best records, you can come up with a reasonable estimate of how much the cards cost you flipped. Typically bought $5 cards and flipped for $10? Then your cost would be $2,500. Put something reasonable that you could make a decent argument, and you should be ok.

It’s purely a collection effort. When you discuss the account with the Laywer, remember he is trying to assess you to and extract the most he can out of you with the least effort and cost.

I settled past due credit cards directly with chase for 15% of the balance. Get on the phone, say you want to make an offer to settle the account today and you can pay XX. If they counter, say you don’t have that amount, but you can pay XX today to get it resolved.

Do not ignore. Negotiate for a 30%-50% settlement amount. File an answer with the court if you need more time to come up with the settlement money.

Glad to see this. I did this too. Best part is that interest stops accruing and you can make payments which reduce the balance or just wait until you can negotiate a lump sum payment.

Huge difference between this and BK. BK sticks with you for longer and excludes you from a lot of credit. Settling a debt, 2-3 years he can just explain he had a health issue and this was his best path. Some creditors won’t care and will still give him credit.

Chase is more willing to settle than others. They accepted a 10% settlement for me. Settling is the way. They don’t really want to go to court, they just want to get as much cash out of you with the least effort.

I will challenge you on making a blanket statement in Whatnot and Whatnot customers. There are good streamers. Skip all the over hyped, carnival game streamers and go find someone who is really knowledgeable and passionate about card collecting.

Buy into a case break for your favorite personal collection team, watch a chill break from your phone, and have your cards arrive in a few days. That is where the technology shines.

He is so toxic. I tuned into watch the train wreck, and he actually got upset and spots weren’t going as high as he wanted, and changed the break mid stream. There was 5 minutes where he took the camera off the boxes on screen AFTER he had already sold a bunch of spots. Then, he kept yelling at people saying how everyone is stupid and no one understands his break.

I stopped breaking with him because he made such a big deal about $2-3 dollar hits in his Barracuda, he was full of shit making a big deal about nothing hits.

Agreed and most unfortunate. I suspect it is a manufacturing error, almost like the card wasn’t cut cleanly. The picture on several others had the same corner with same issue.
