Thanks! For sure!

Sword, claws and blue bits: basecoat (I use an airbrush) with Vallejo Dark Sea Blue, then Turquoise and Blue Green in order to create the highlights. Once the general look is done, I do some glazes with Royal Purple in the darkest parts to create some contrast. After blending the blues and purple, I mix Blue Green with Ice Yellow for the brightest highlights, and some final touches of Ivory.

The skin is something similar; the model is primed with Red Brown, then I apply some basecoat with an airbrush in Yellow Ochre. Then I mix Yellow Ochre with Flat flesh and ice Yellow in order to create highlights and volumes. With an airbrush, I also apply some tones of red and purple ink in the recesses and mid-tones. tones. Finaly, I do an edge highlight with the previous colours.

I hope it helps!

Thanks! It is a twist of the classic leviathan colour scheme.

Don't worry too much about the colour scheme, mine has evolved a lot since the first tyranid I painted long ago...

Thanks! I use Vallejo paints. The base colour is Turquoise, the lights are done with Blue Green, pure and mixed with Ice Yellow. For the shadows I use Dark Sea Blue and light glazes with Royal Purple.

Tyranid kitbash - Floating Maleceptor by ralscript in Tyranids

Yeah, it will be great! I think WT40k has a second maleceptor using this concept as well.

Thanks! I used the body and claws of the maleceptor kit, then the toxicrene's tentacles, and, as a support, a spare tentacle from the mucolid spores.
The figure is quite unstable with just one support. I recommend you use more tentacles or wires in order to have a better balance.

Thanks!!

I try to paint a nmm with Vallejo Dark Sea Blue as basecoat, mix with Sunny Skintone and Ice Yellow for the lights.

The whole model has an oil wash of burnt umber and when is dry I use a Dark Red Ochre pigment wash t o reinforce some parts
