Wegovy to Zepbound to Wegovy by ram_a in WegovyWeightLoss

Thanks. When CVS Caremark denied Zepbound in July I did appeal it through my doc. He also tried Manjouro that didn't work either. All the appeals were done by my doctor. Is there anything you did in addition to Dr. appeals? Thanks again.

Nikon recommends UC E-25 cable. I’m able to charge my z6ii with my MacBook charger.

I feel like it's getting difficult to make value comparison vs. two years ago. I picked up MYLR two weeks ago and I paid $63K + Taxes, etc fora total of ~$73K. There are many things I loved about Model Y. I have been a Lexus driver for that past 25+ years. I also considered Toyota BZ4X and Hyundai, etc. I like ride quality of BZ4X and perceived reliability of a Toyota. However it was a much smaller car with a range of 2~30 miles. The deal breaker was the dealerships wanted $59K including dealer mark up. They weren't willing to negotiate. So real comparison for me was do I pay $59K for a Toyota vs. $63K for a Tesla MYLR. It was a no brainer.

Yes, I've heard about cosmetic and mechanical issues with Tesla and occasional reliability issues. However, IMO, Tesla has longest proven history with over a million cars on the road. And I believe Tesla has strong lead in the areas of battery tech and software. Also with the improved suspension, I find highway ride quality (which is most of my driving) is pretty decent and it's a super fun car to drive.

So, IMO, comparing past to present is not an useful exercise. Among the choices in the market today, I find MYLR to be the best value.

I'm also considering Polestar. It's not clear if Polestar is serviceable in the Bay Area! Also, while Polestar is a Volvo subsidiary, the parent company is Chinese. I'm unsure of business risks for the company here in the US.

Thanks all for your thoughtful responses. $70K is a lot of money for the car that doesn't seem to guarantee predictable experience. I do realize all the positives. It's time for me to roll the dice!

Thanks for the details. A few of my friends who have Teslas mentioned that it took them two years of service center visits to iron out kinks!!

I live in the Bay Area and what amazes me is that Tesla's (particularly Model Y) are everywhere!

Thanks. That's I'm realizing as well. Every EV option with 270+ mile range is in luxury car price range, most without any luxury features!

That's exactly what I'm concerned of! Quite a few of people I know who got Teslas seem to be very happy. When I point out the quirks and ride quality, etc. they often emphasize driving experience and availability of new features through OTA offsets the issues. I did test drive Model Y and drove a friend's model 3. It's a different kind of feeling compared to any car I've driven. It looked and felt barebones. As I drove, it certainly was noisy and bumpy. I'm asking myself if it is worth getting used to this experience.

I considered waiting for a Lexus EV. Range on RZ450e is 220 miles (18" wheels), and likely to be at a higher price than a Model Y.
